Slots attract more myths than almost any other form of gambling. Here are the most common ones, and the facts.

"A slot is due to pay after a dry spell"

False. Every spin is independent, decided by a certified random number generator. A slot that has not paid in 200 spins is exactly as likely to pay on the next spin as one that just hit. There is no memory and no "due".

"Playing at certain times improves my chances"

False. RTP and odds are fixed in the game's maths and do not change by time of day, day of week, or how busy the casino is. The only exception is must-drop jackpots, which are guaranteed to pay before a threshold — but the base odds are unchanged.

"Bigger stakes have better odds"

False. The RTP percentage is the same whatever you stake. Higher stakes scale your wins and losses proportionally but do not improve the underlying odds. Some bonus-buy prices imply a slightly different RTP, which should be disclosed.

"Casinos can tighten a slot remotely"
