10x wagering slots bonus

A 10x wagering slots bonus asks you to stake the bonus amount ten times before it turns into withdrawable cash, and 10x is now the highest wagering any UK casino may set. Casumo’s 50% match up to £100 and 10bet’s 100% match up to £25 both use 10x on the bonus only. 18+, terms apply.

Key takeaways

  • Since 19 January 2026, no UK bonus can carry wagering above 10x.
  • Casumo and 10bet both apply 10x to the bonus only, not to your deposit plus bonus.
  • A £25 bonus at 10x means £250 of slot stakes; a £100 bonus means £1,000.
  • The deadline matters as much as the multiple: Casumo gives 7 days, 10bet gives 3.

What 10x wagering on a slots bonus means

A wagering requirement is the total amount you must stake before bonus money can be withdrawn. With 10x, you multiply the relevant amount by ten. A £20 bonus at 10x requires £200 of bets; once you have placed them and any remaining bonus balance is converted, it becomes cash.

Wagering is turnover, not loss. If you stake £1 and win back 90p, you have still wagered £1. Over £200 of turnover you might spin the same money round many times, and you will usually finish with less than you started, because each spin carries the slot’s house edge.

The single most important question on any 10x offer is ten times what. Ten times the bonus is far lighter than ten times the deposit plus bonus, and the two can look identical in a headline.

The UK’s 10x wagering cap from January 2026

From 19 January 2026, the Gambling Commission capped wagering on all UK gambling bonuses at 10x. Before that, 30x, 35x or even 50x requirements were common on slot welcome offers. The same change banned promotions that mix gambling products, such as staking on sport to unlock casino spins.

The practical result is that 10x is now a ceiling, so it is no longer a selling point on its own. Every compliant bonus is at 10x or less. What separates offers is what the 10x applies to, how long you have, the bet limit while wagering, and any cap on winnings. Our page on low wagering slots bonuses looks at offers below the ceiling, and UK slot rule changes in 2026 lists the other changes.

Bonus-only vs deposit-plus-bonus: why 10x can mean two things

Here is the same £50 deposit and £50 bonus under the two common structures. The multiple is identical; the work is not.

StructureBase amountWagering neededSpins at 50p
10x bonus only£50£5001,000
10x deposit + bonus£100£1,0002,000

Both of our 10x partners use the lighter structure: Casumo’s terms say to wager the bonus 10x, and 10bet’s say to wager the bonus 10x on slots. Some operators word it as ‘10x the bonus amount’, which means the same. If you see ‘10x deposit and bonus’, double the turnover in your head.

Casumo’s 50% bonus at 10x wagering

Casumo offers new customers aged 18 or over a 50% bonus up to £100 on the first deposit, after opting in. The minimum deposit is £20, and the bonus must be wagered 10x within 7 days, with a £5 maximum bet while the bonus is active. Game, play and payment restrictions apply.

£50£25£250250
£120£60£600600
£200£100£1,0001,000

Seven days for £1,000 of turnover is around £143 of stakes a day at the top end, which is a lot for a casual player. At smaller deposits the requirement is modest. More on the offer is on our Casumo welcome offer page.

10bet’s 100% bonus at 10x wagering

10bet gives new UK customers aged 18 or over a 100% match up to £25. You choose the casino welcome bonus at sign-up and make your first deposit within 7 days. The bonus must be wagered 10x on slots within 3 days, and bonus winnings are capped at £1,000.

Because the match is capped at £25, the most wagering you can face is £250. That is small in absolute terms, but the 3-day window is short. At 50p a spin, £250 is 500 spins; at the UK’s 2.5-second minimum spin time, 500 spins take at least 21 minutes of pure spinning, and realistically longer with breaks and feature rounds. See the 10bet welcome offer page for the full terms.

On a £25 deposit, 10bet gives a £25 bonus and Casumo gives £12.50, so 10bet adds more for small deposits. Above £50, Casumo’s bonus grows larger, up to four times 10bet’s maximum. Neither is better in general; the right one depends on how much you planned to deposit anyway.

What 10x wagering costs you on average

The expected cost of wagering is the turnover multiplied by the house edge. On a slot with 96% RTP, the edge is 4%. So £250 of wagering costs about £10 on average, and £1,000 of wagering costs about £40.

Compare that with the bonus itself. A £25 bonus with an average wagering cost of £10 leaves an expected £15 of value. A £100 bonus with an average cost of £40 leaves an expected £60. These are long-run averages; any one session can finish well above or below, and many will end with the bonus lost before wagering is complete.

Is a 10x wagering slots bonus good value?

Under the old rules, 10x would have been unusually light. Under the 2026 rules it is the maximum, so it is fair rather than exceptional. A 10x bonus suits you if you already planned to deposit the amount and will play enough to finish wagering within the time limit.

Advantages

  • Adds to the balance you play with, unlike fixed-value spins
  • Bonus-only wagering keeps turnover manageable
  • You choose the slots, within the eligible list
  • Can be worth more than spins on larger deposits

Drawbacks

  • Winnings are locked until wagering is done
  • Time limits of 3 to 7 days add pressure
  • Bet caps and game restrictions apply while wagering
  • No-wagering spins are simpler: winnings are cash straight away

If you would rather avoid wagering entirely, PlayOJO’s 80 spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p carry none, and no wagering free spins compares that style of offer.

How to claim a 10x wagering slots bonus

  1. Decide in advance how much you are willing to deposit and lose; set a deposit limit at sign-up.
  2. Register as a new customer aged 18 or over and complete verification.
  3. At Casumo, opt in to the welcome bonus; at 10bet, choose the casino welcome bonus during sign-up.
  4. Make your first deposit: £20 or more at Casumo, within 7 days of joining at 10bet.
  5. Check the bonus balance has appeared and note the deadline: 7 days at Casumo, 3 days at 10bet.
  6. Play eligible slots, keeping each bet within the limit (£5 at Casumo), and watch the wagering meter.
  7. Once wagering is complete, check the balance has converted to cash before withdrawing.

If the meter is not moving, the game may be excluded or weighted lower. Our guide on tracking wagering explains how to read progress, and how to use a slots bonus covers what happens if you withdraw early.

Common mistakes with 10x slot bonuses

  • Missing the deadline. Unfinished wagering at the time limit usually means the bonus and its winnings are removed.
  • Breaking the bet limit. One spin above the maximum bet can void bonus winnings.
  • Playing excluded games. Some slots do not count, or count at a reduced rate.
  • Withdrawing mid-wagering. At many casinos this forfeits the remaining bonus.
  • Depositing more than planned to get a bigger bonus. The bonus scales your exposure as well as your balance.

Where to find a 10x wagering slots bonus

Casumo and 10bet both offer match bonuses with exactly 10x wagering on the bonus amount, with 7 and 3 days to complete it respectively. PlayOJO is the no-wagering alternative. All three are UKGC-licensed, offers are for new customers aged 18 or over, and terms apply. Gambling should be paid for from money you can afford to lose.

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum wagering requirement in the UK?

Ten times. Since 19 January 2026, the Gambling Commission has capped wagering on gambling bonuses at 10x, and promotions that require you to use more than one gambling product are banned. Any offer for UK players asking for more than 10x would breach the rules. Casinos can still set wagering below 10x or remove it entirely, as no-wagering offers do. Our UK slot rules page summarises this alongside stake limits and game design rules.

How much do I need to bet to clear a £50 bonus at 10x?

£500, if the wagering applies to the bonus only. That is 1,000 spins at 50p or 500 spins at £1. If the terms say 10x deposit plus bonus and you deposited £50 for a £50 bonus, the figure doubles to £1,000. Both Casumo and 10bet apply 10x to the bonus only, though 10bet’s match is capped at £25. Work through more scenarios on our wagering explained with examples page.

Is 10x wagering good on a slots bonus?

It is fair, but no longer exceptional. Before 2026, 10x was rare and light; now it is the legal maximum, so every UK bonus is at 10x or below. What makes a 10x bonus good or poor is the base it applies to, the time limit, the maximum bet and any winnings cap. A bonus-only 10x with a week to play is easier than a deposit-plus-bonus 10x over three days. Compare with no wagering free spins before choosing.

Does Casumo’s bonus have 10x wagering?

Yes. Casumo’s welcome offer is a 50% bonus up to £100 on the first deposit for new customers aged 18 or over who opt in. The minimum deposit is £20, the bonus must be wagered 10x within 7 days, and the maximum bet with an active bonus is £5. Game, play and payment restrictions apply. So a £200 deposit brings a £100 bonus and £1,000 of wagering. Full details are on our Casumo free spins and bonus coverage.

How long do I have to complete 10x wagering at 10bet?

Three days. 10bet’s 100% match up to £25 must be wagered 10x on slots within 3 days of being credited, so a full £25 bonus needs £250 of slot stakes in that window. You must choose the casino welcome bonus at sign-up and deposit within 7 days of joining. Bonus winnings are capped at £1,000. If three days does not fit how you play, a no-wagering offer may suit better. See the 10bet slots review for more.

Do all slots count towards 10x wagering?

Not always. Casinos can exclude some slots from bonus play or count them at a reduced percentage, known as game weighting. 10bet’s terms specify wagering on slots, and Casumo applies game restrictions. If a game counts at 50%, a £1 spin only clears 50p of wagering, which doubles the effective requirement. The eligible list is in the bonus terms. Our game weighting entry explains how this changes the maths.

Can I withdraw before finishing 10x wagering?

You can usually withdraw your own deposited cash, but at most casinos doing so before wagering is complete cancels the bonus and any winnings made from it. Terms differ on whether cash or bonus funds are used first. Read the withdrawal section of the bonus terms before you start, and if in doubt ask support. Remember that UK casinos cannot let you reverse a withdrawal once requested. Our guide on withdrawing slot winnings explains the process.

What is the average cost of 10x wagering?

Roughly the wagering amount multiplied by the house edge. On a slot with 96% RTP, the edge is 4%, so £250 of wagering costs about £10 on average and £1,000 costs about £40. The actual result of any session varies widely, especially on high-volatility slots, and many sessions lose the bonus before wagering finishes. Choosing a higher-RTP version lowers the average cost. Our RTP guide explains how return percentages work.

Is a 10x bonus better than no-wagering free spins?

It depends on how much you deposit. No-wagering spins, such as PlayOJO’s 80 spins at 10p on Big Bass Bonanza, are simpler: winnings are cash straight away. A 10x match bonus can add more to your balance on larger deposits but locks winnings until wagering is done and sets a deadline. If you value simplicity, choose no wagering; if you planned a larger deposit anyway, a match may add more. See bonus cash vs free spins.
