Free spins for existing players are spins a UK slot site gives to customers who already have an account, usually through reload deals, loyalty schemes, prize wheels or tournaments rather than a sign-up offer. They are less predictable than welcome spins, so the useful skill is reading each offer’s terms and working out what the spins are really worth.
Welcome spins are for new accounts only; ongoing spins come from reloads, loyalty schemes, prize wheels, drops and tournaments.
The 10x wagering cap from 19 January 2026 covers every bonus, including offers for existing customers.
Multiply spin count by spin value, then by the slot’s RTP, to see what a batch of spins is worth on average.
Offers often depend on marketing consent and account activity, so two players at the same site can see different deals.
Ongoing offers should never be a reason to deposit more or play longer than you planned.

What free spins for existing players actually are
A welcome offer is a one-off: once you have opened an account and taken it, you cannot claim it again at that brand. Anything a slot site gives you after that point is an existing-customer promotion. Spins are the most common form, because a casino can attach them to a specific game, fix their value and cap the cost, which suits both the operator and the free spins format players already understand.
The difference from a welcome deal is that ongoing spins are rarely advertised in one fixed place. They tend to appear in your account inbox, on a promotions tab, through an app reward feature or as a prize in a game such as a wheel or a tournament. Some need a qualifying deposit or stake, some are given as a reward for activity you have already done, and some come from free-to-enter games. Each type has its own catch, and the catch is what decides whether the spins are worth anything to you.
There is a separate page on existing customer free spins that lists the promotion styles. This page concentrates on the maths, the 2026 rules and how to judge an individual offer.
Seven ways UK slot sites give spins to existing players
Most ongoing spin offers fall into one of seven groups. The table shows how you usually earn each one and the term that most often limits its value.
Type
How you usually get it
Term to check first
Reload spins
Deposit or stake a set amount on a named day
Minimum deposit and excluded payment methods
Daily or weekly spins
Opt in, then play a qualifying amount each day or week
Claim deadline and how long the spins last
Loyalty or level rewards
Earned by play over time, sometimes through points
Whether points expire and how they convert
Prize wheels and pick games
Free-to-enter game in the app or lobby
Whether a prize is spins, cash or bonus funds
Prize drops
Random prize while playing selected slots
Minimum stake to qualify for a drop
Tournaments
Leaderboard based on wins or multipliers
Scoring rule and minimum stake per spin
Birthday or anniversary spins
Given automatically on a date
Usually need marketing consent to receive
Reload and weekly free spins are the most direct: you pay in, you get spins. Slot loyalty rewards and slot prize drops reward play you would be doing anyway, which sounds better but can quietly encourage longer sessions. Tournaments are the least predictable, because only the top places pay and the scoring rule decides who gets there.
How the 2026 UK rules apply to existing-customer spins
Two changes from 19 January 2026 matter here. First, any wagering requirement on a gambling bonus is capped at 10x. That applies to a reload deal in March just as much as to a welcome offer. If spin winnings carry wagering at all, the multiple cannot be above 10x the bonus amount.
Second, promotions that mix gambling products are banned. A deal that says bet on football and receive casino spins, or play bingo to unlock slots spins, is no longer allowed in Great Britain. If you see that kind of cross-product offer on a site claiming to serve UK players, treat it as a reason to check the licence on the Gambling Commission register.
The other slot rules carry over to spins as normal. Spin values are set by the casino, but the game still runs at no less than 2.5 seconds per spin, has no autoplay or turbo, and shows your net position. The stake limits of £5 per spin for players aged 25 and over and £2 for players aged 18–24 apply to any real-money play you do to qualify for an offer. The UK slot rules 2026 guide covers each change in detail.
Working out what existing-player spins are worth
Any batch of spins has a face value and an expected value. Face value is spin count multiplied by spin value. Expected value is that figure multiplied by the slot’s RTP, less anything you lose to wagering or caps. The worked examples below use round numbers to keep the arithmetic clear.

Varies by offer
Take the last row. Suppose the 50 spins return £4.80. With 10x wagering, you would need to stake £48 on slots before that £4.80 becomes withdrawable. At a 96% RTP, £48 of stakes loses about £1.92 on average, so the expected leftover is nearer £2.88, and that assumes you do not run out first. This is why no wagering free spins are usually worth more than a larger batch with strings attached.
The cost to qualify matters even more. A reload that asks you to deposit £20 to receive £2 of spins is only worth taking if you were going to deposit £20 anyway. If the offer is the reason for the deposit, the spins have cost you money rather than saved it. The free spins value guide walks through more examples.
Why some existing players get spin offers and others don’t
Ongoing offers are targeted, so two people with accounts at the same casino can see quite different promotions. Common reasons include:
Marketing preferences. Many offers arrive by email, text or app message. If you have not agreed to marketing, you may only see what is on the public promotions page.
Account status. Sites restrict offers while verification is incomplete and may exclude accounts with an open bonus dispute or unusual activity.
Safer gambling markers. UK operators are expected to stop promoting to customers who show signs of harm, and they cannot market to anyone who is self-excluded.
Payment method. Some reloads exclude deposits by e-wallet or prepaid card, mirroring the exclusions you see on welcome offers.
Opt-in. Many deals need you to press an opt-in button before the qualifying play counts.
If an offer you expected does not appear, the first check is the opt-in and the qualifying window. The why can’t I use my free spins page lists the usual causes in order.
How to find and use spins on an account you already have
Log in and open the promotions tab, the inbox or message centre, and any rewards area in the app.
Read the full terms of the offer: qualifying deposit or stake, eligible payment methods, opt-in, spin value, game and expiry.
Opt in before you play if the terms ask for it; play before opting in usually does not count.
Complete the qualifying step once, at a stake you had already planned, and keep a note of the time.
Open the named slot from the offer or the bonus area so the spins load at the set value.
Check your balance afterwards to see whether winnings landed as cash or as bonus funds with wagering.
What our partner sites publish for customers after sign-up
None of the five casinos we work with publishes a standing free spins offer for existing players with fixed terms that we can quote. What they do publish are reward features that run alongside your account. The descriptions below come from their App Store listings and published offer pages, so check the promotions area for the live details.

PlayOJO’s approach differs from the others: rather than issuing spins, OJOplus returns a small amount on each stake. Casumo’s Reel Races are short slot tournaments, explained further in the slot tournaments guide. Coral and Ladbrokes both lean on free-to-enter games, where the prize might be spins, cash or nothing on a given day.
Terms that reduce the value of loyalty and reload spins
Winnings paid as bonus funds rather than cash, with wagering attached (up to 10x).
A low cap on spin winnings. A cap of a few pounds on 10p spins changes the maths far more than the headline spin count suggests; see slot bonus max win caps.
Short expiry. Spins that vanish after 24 hours push you to play on a schedule that suits the casino.
Higher qualifying stake than you normally play. A deal that needs £50 of slot play for 20 spins is rarely good value for a low-stakes player.
Low-RTP game versions. Spins tied to a slot that the site runs at a lower RTP version return less on average. Check the game’s help screen.
Keeping ongoing spin offers in proportion
Existing-customer offers exist to keep you playing, and that is the reason to treat them carefully. Over time the house edge means slot play costs money, and a few pounds of spins does not change that. A useful rule is that an offer can make a planned session slightly better value but should never create a session that would not otherwise have happened.
Every UK licensed site has deposit limits, time-outs and reality checks in the account settings, and you can turn off marketing so offers stop arriving. Where to start if you want spins with clear terms
If you are opening a new account rather than looking for a loyalty deal, the three offers below pay spin winnings without wagering. Coral asks you to bet £10 on slots for 100 spins at 10p; Ladbrokes gives up to 500 spins at 10p across ten days after £10 of slot play; PlayOJO gives 80 spins at 10p on Big Bass Bonanza with a £10 first deposit. All are 18+, new customers only, with payment exclusions and expiry dates in the terms.
All three offers below are for new customers only, so they are not existing-player deals. They are shown because each one pays its spin winnings without wagering and each site publishes ongoing reward features for customers after sign-up. 18+, terms apply.
Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open a new account with another; check the terms before signing up.

Frequently asked questions
Do UK casinos give free spins to existing players?
Yes, many UK slot sites give spins to existing players, but through targeted promotions rather than one fixed offer. The usual routes are reload deals that need a deposit or stake, loyalty schemes, free-to-enter prize wheels, prize drops and tournaments. What you see depends on your marketing preferences, account status and play history, so it can differ from what a friend at the same site sees. Always read the terms for wagering, spin value and expiry. The existing customer free spins page lists common formats, and daily free spins covers day-by-day schemes.
Is wagering on existing-player free spins capped in the UK?
Yes, since 19 January 2026 any wagering requirement on a gambling bonus in Great Britain is capped at 10x, and that includes offers for existing customers. If spin winnings are paid as bonus funds, the casino can ask you to play them through no more than ten times before they become cash. Many offers go further and pay spin winnings with no wagering at all. The cap does not stop other limits such as expiry dates or win caps, so check those as well. The 10x wagering slots bonus page has worked examples.
Why haven’t I received any free spins as an existing customer?
The most common reason is that you have not agreed to marketing, so targeted offers are not being sent to you. Other causes include unfinished verification, an offer that needs an opt-in before qualifying play, a payment method excluded by the terms, or a safer gambling marker on the account. Casinos also cannot send offers to anyone who has self-excluded. Check your marketing settings and the promotions tab first, then ask customer support. The why can’t I use my free spins page explains the checks in order.
Are reload free spins worth taking?
Reload spins are worth taking only if you were already planning the deposit they require. Work out face value first: 30 spins at 10p are £3 of play. At a 96% RTP that averages about £2.88 back, before any wagering. If a reload asks for a £20 deposit you would not otherwise make, the spins are not a saving. If you were depositing £20 anyway and the winnings carry no wagering, they add a little value. The how to work out free spins value guide shows the full method.
Can I claim a welcome offer again as an existing player?
No, welcome offers are limited to one per person, household or payment method, and opening a second account to claim one again breaks UK casino terms. Doing so can lead to winnings being withheld and accounts closed. If you closed an old account years ago, the site may still treat you as an existing customer. Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited, so check each brand’s terms before assuming you qualify. The common welcome offer mistakes guide covers the eligibility rules most people miss.
Do free-to-play prize wheels count as gambling?
A genuinely free-to-enter prize game is a promotion rather than a bet, because you do not stake money to take part. That is why sites such as Coral and Ladbrokes can offer free-to-play games with prizes in their apps. The prize is still governed by terms, and it may be spins, a small cash amount, bonus funds with wagering, or nothing on a given day. Look at what form the prize takes and how long it lasts before you plan around it. The slot prize drops page explains the related drop format.
What spin value do existing-player offers usually use?
Most existing-player spins run at 10p or 20p per spin, set by the casino and shown in the terms. The value is fixed, so you cannot raise it to chase a bigger win, and any slot maximum win is measured against that small stake. At 10p, a game with a 5,000x max win could pay at most £500 on a single spin, and most spins pay nothing or a few pence. Multiply spin count by spin value to get face value. The spin value glossary entry explains why this figure matters more than the spin count.
Can existing-player spins be on any slot I choose?
Usually not, because most spin offers are tied to one named slot or a short list of games in the terms. Spins on a named game load at the set value when you open that slot, and they will not appear in other games. Some loyalty schemes let you pick from a small menu, but a free choice of any slot is rare. If the named game has several RTP versions, check its help screen for the figure the site uses. The how to claim free spins guide covers loading spins correctly.
How do I stop getting free spins offers?
Turn off marketing in your account settings, or ask customer support to do it, and the offers should stop. You can choose to stop emails, texts and app messages separately at most UK sites. If offers are tempting you to play more than you want, a time-out pauses the account for a set period, and GAMSTOP self-excludes you from every UK licensed site at once. The National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 is free, confidential and open 24 hours. The take a break from slots guide explains each option.
Gambling can be addictive. Free, confidential help is available 24 hours a day from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133. Get support from GamCare or NHS gambling support, or block yourself from all UK-licensed gambling sites with GAMSTOP.
