Paddy Power slots

Paddy Power slots are run by PPB Entertainment Limited, which holds the brand’s UK casino and bingo licences under Gambling Commission account 39426, in place since November 2014. The same licence also covers Betfair’s casino. Paddy Power was founded in Ireland in 1988 and is now owned by Flutter Entertainment. Here is how the pieces fit together.

Key takeaways

  • PPB Entertainment Limited (UKGC account 39426) holds the casino and bingo licences for Paddy Power.
  • The same account lists only two domains: paddypower.com and betfair.com.
  • Paddy Power was founded in Ireland in 1988 and is owned by Flutter Entertainment.
  • A £2 million settlement shared by four PPB licensees was published in December 2025.

Paddy Power slots: the licence behind the games

Paddy Power is best known as a bookmaker, but its slots, casino and bingo games are licensed separately. The UK Gambling Commission account that covers them is 39426, held by PPB Entertainment Limited, whose head office is at Spinola Terraces in St Julian’s, Malta. That account carries two licences, remote casino and remote bingo, both active since 1 November 2014.

Paddy Power’s sports betting runs through other PPB companies. So when you play a slot, the business answerable to the regulator for that game is PPB Entertainment, even though you use the same Paddy Power login. We are not partnered with Paddy Power and don’t rate it.

The register lists just two domains on account 39426: paddypower.com and betfair.com. The two brands merged in a deal completed on 2 February 2016, and their casino products have sat with the same licensee ever since. Our Betfair slots profile covers the other half of the pair.

Splitting licences across several companies is normal for large groups. For a player, the useful point is that each product’s rules and complaints are handled by the licensee named for that product.

The December 2025 settlement and customer interaction rules

The register lists one action against PPB Entertainment Limited. Published on 17 December 2025, it was a regulatory settlement in which four licensees named in the case paid a total of £2,000,000 in lieu of a financial penalty, along with a public statement and the Commission’s costs. The review of Betfair and Paddy Power’s remote licences found failures to comply with paragraphs 1, 4, 7, 8 and 11 of social responsibility code provision 3.4.3.

Provision 3.4.3 is the rule on remote customer interaction. In outline, it requires operators to watch for indicators that a customer may be experiencing harm, such as time spent, spending patterns and changes in behaviour, to act on those signs promptly and to check whether their action worked. In practice, that is why a site may contact you, apply limits or ask questions about your play. Our page on signs slots are becoming a problem lists the same warning signs from the player’s side.

Sportsbook and slots in one account: the rules that differ

Because Paddy Power puts betting, casino and bingo behind one login, it helps to know which rules apply to which product.

  • Slots have a £5 maximum spin for players aged 25 and over and £2 for those aged 18 to 24, at least 2.5 seconds per spin, and no autoplay, turbo or bonus buy.
  • Other casino games, such as roulette and blackjack, must take at least 5 seconds per round and can’t use autoplay.
  • Promotions can’t mix products since 19 January 2026, so a sports bet can’t unlock casino spins and vice versa.
  • Bonus wagering is capped at 10 times the bonus on any offer made since the same date.

Our UK slot rules guide explains each rule with dates, and the stake limit entry covers how the age bands work.

Reading max win and payout limits before you play

Every slot has a maximum win set by the developer, shown as a multiple of the stake. A slot with a 5,000x cap, such as Book of Dead, can pay at most £5,000 on a £1 spin, and reaching the cap is extremely rare. Separately, an operator’s terms may set its own maximum payout per game or per day, which can sit below what the slot allows at high stakes.

  1. Open the slot’s help screen and note the maximum win multiplier.
  2. Multiply it by your stake to see the top prize in pounds.
  3. Search the site’s terms for any maximum payout or winnings limit.
  4. If a promotion is involved, check its own winnings cap as well.

Our guide to slot max win explained works through more examples.

How to check Paddy Power on the public register

Search the Gambling Commission register for account 39426 or PPB Entertainment Limited. Confirm the casino licence is active, that paddypower.com appears on the domain names tab and read the actions tab for the full December 2025 statement. Our licence-checking guide shows each screen.

Safer gambling tools for Paddy Power players

With betting and gaming in one account, a single deposit limit usually covers everything, which makes it a strong tool. Time-outs, reality checks and self-exclusion must also be offered. GAMSTOP blocks every UK-licensed site in one step, and the free National Gambling Helpline answers on 0808 8020 133 around the clock. GamCare and NHS gambling clinics also help.

Other bookmaker slot sites to compare

If you want a bookmaker brand with a large slots lobby, these publish slots-only welcome offers. Each needs you to be a new customer aged 18 or over, with terms applying. Coral: a £10 bet on slots earns 100 free spins worth 10p each on selected games; accept them within 48 hours and use them within 7 days, and winnings carry no wagering. Some deposit methods are excluded. Ladbrokes: play £10 on slots and receive 50 free spins a day for 10 days, up to 500, at 10p each with no wagering, claimed from the inbox by 23:59 each day. 10bet: a 100% match up to £25 on a first deposit, wagered 10x on slots within 3 days, with bonus winnings capped at £1,000. Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited; our Coral vs Ladbrokes comparison explains the differences.

Frequently asked questions

Who owns Paddy Power?

Paddy Power is owned by Flutter Entertainment, the group that also owns Betfair, PokerStars and Sky Betting & Gaming. The brand was founded in Ireland in 1988 and merged with Betfair in a deal completed on 2 February 2016. Its casino and bingo games are licensed in Great Britain through PPB Entertainment Limited, UK Gambling Commission account 39426, based in St Julian’s, Malta. Sports betting runs through other PPB companies. Our Betfair slots profile covers the brand that shares the same casino licensee.

Is Paddy Power casino licensed in the UK?

Yes. PPB Entertainment Limited holds an active remote casino licence and an active remote bingo licence from the UK Gambling Commission under account 39426, both in effect since 1 November 2014. The register lists paddypower.com and betfair.com as the account’s two domains. Being licensed means the slots must follow UK rules on stake limits, spin speed, testing and safer gambling. The register also records a regulatory settlement published in December 2025. You can confirm everything yourself with our guide on checking a slot site’s licence.

Are Paddy Power and Betfair the same company?

They are separate brands under the same owner, Flutter Entertainment, and for casino games they share one licensee. PPB Entertainment Limited holds the UK casino and bingo licences for both, and the register lists paddypower.com and betfair.com as the only two domains on that account. The brands merged in 2016 but kept their own names, websites and customer bases. Whether one account works across both is a question for customer support. The UK slot site brands A–Z lists other group connections between brands.

Has Paddy Power been fined by the Gambling Commission?

Yes, on more than one occasion. In 2018, Paddy Power Betfair paid £2.2 million following regulatory action by the Commission. More recently, a settlement published on 17 December 2025 saw four licensees named in the case pay £2 million in total in lieu of a financial penalty, after a review of Betfair and Paddy Power’s remote licences found failures under social responsibility code provision 3.4.3 on customer interaction. The full statement is on the register. Our UKGC glossary entry explains settlements and other enforcement tools.

Where is Paddy Power based?

Paddy Power began in Ireland in 1988, and its owner, Flutter Entertainment, is a large international group. The company that holds the UK casino and bingo licences, PPB Entertainment Limited, gives its head office as Spinola Terraces in St Julian’s, Malta. The location of the licensee doesn’t change your protections: anyone offering gambling to customers in Great Britain must hold a UK Gambling Commission licence and follow its rules. Our UK slot rules guide lists the main requirements that apply to every slot.

Can a Paddy Power sports bet unlock casino spins?

No. Since 19 January 2026, UK-licensed operators have been banned from promotions that require you to use one gambling product to earn a reward on another, so a football or racing bet can’t unlock slot spins, and slot play can’t unlock free bets. Any casino offer must be earned through casino play, and its wagering can’t exceed 10 times the bonus. We don’t describe Paddy Power’s current offers. Our explainer on UK slot rule changes in 2026 covers both changes in more detail.

What is the maximum stake on Paddy Power slots?

The legal maximum is £5 per spin if you are 25 or over and £2 per spin if you are aged 18 to 24, limits that apply to online slots on every UK-licensed site since April and May 2025. A particular slot may set its own lower top stake, and bonus terms can set a lower maximum while a bonus is active. Table games and live casino are not covered by the slot stake limits. The UK slot stake limits guide explains how sites confirm your age band.

How do I self-exclude from Paddy Power?

You can self-exclude through the safer gambling section of your Paddy Power account or by asking customer support. Self-exclusion lasts at least six months and can’t be lifted early. Because Paddy Power shares owners and a casino licensee with Betfair, ask whether an exclusion also applies there. To block every UK-licensed site in one step, register with GAMSTOP, which is free. The National Gambling Helpline, 0808 8020 133, is open around the clock. Our self-exclusion guide explains each route step by step.
