The Genie Jackpots slot is a 20-line Arabian Nights game from Blueprint Gaming, first released in December 2015, with a 96.49% RTP on slot database listings and a medium volatility rating. It is a straightforward 5 × 3 game, but the word ‘Jackpots’ is the part to check: the version in your lobby may or may not carry a linked jackpot, and that changes the maths.
Genie Jackpots is a 5-reel, 3-row slot with 20 paylines, released by Blueprint Gaming in December 2015.
Slot databases list a 96.49% RTP and medium volatility, but the help screen of your casino’s version is the figure that applies.
If a version is linked to a progressive jackpot, part of every stake funds the pot, so its base-game return is lower.
The series now includes Genie Jackpots Combo Frenzy (2026), a 50-line game with three wheel bonuses and a 2,000x maximum.

Genie Jackpots slot: what you are looking at
Genie Jackpots comes from the generation of online slots built before Megaways and pay-anywhere grids took over. It uses the most traditional layout there is: five reels, three rows and 20 fixed paylines. The theme is the familiar Arabian Nights setting of lamps, palaces and a genie, and it sits naturally among our magic slots. The studio behind it, Blueprint Gaming, is the Newark-based developer owned by Merkur Group that also makes Fishin’ Frenzy and Eye of Horus.
Older 20-line slots tend to spread their return more evenly between the base game and the features than modern high-volatility games do. That matches the medium volatility rating slot databases give Genie Jackpots: line wins are reasonably regular, and the features add to the session rather than deciding it outright.
What ‘Jackpots’ means: linked and standalone versions
Blueprint runs a progressive network called Jackpot King, and the studio offers a number of its games both with and without a linked pot. Whether the copy of Genie Jackpots in your lobby is linked is something the game tile and the help screen tell you: a jackpot version shows the pot amounts and explains how the jackpot round is triggered.
This matters for the maths. In a progressive jackpot game, a slice of every stake is diverted into the pot, so the base game and normal features return less. The overall RTP still includes the jackpot, but that portion is paid to a very small number of players. For most sessions, what you experience is the lower base-game return.

Reading the Genie Jackpots paytable on 20 lines
Your total stake is divided equally across the 20 lines. At 20p a spin, each line carries 1p; at £1, each carries 5p. Many 20-line paytables show prizes as multiples of the line bet, so the same entry is worth twenty times less than you might first think if you read it against the total stake.
Take a hypothetical prize of 100x the line bet for five of a symbol. At a 20p total stake that pays 100 × 1p = £1, which is five times your stake. At £1 it pays £5. Several lines can win on one spin, and the wins are added together. Our guide on how to read a slot paytable walks through this in more depth.
Open the help or paytable screen from the menu icon.
Find the RTP line and note whether a jackpot contribution is listed separately.
Check whether prizes are shown as cash at your current stake or as multiples of the line bet.
Identify the wild and scatter symbols and read what each does.
Look at the line diagram so you know which patterns across the reels count.
Check the maximum stake shown, remembering UK caps of £5 (25+) and £2 (18 to 24).
Genie Jackpots features: what to expect
Like most Blueprint games of its era, Genie Jackpots pairs ordinary line wins with a wild symbol that substitutes for regular symbols and a scatter-triggered bonus round. Exact details, such as which symbol is wild, how many scatters start the bonus and what the bonus awards, are printed in the help screen, and we would rather point you there than guess at figures that can differ between versions.
What we can say is how the medium volatility rating plays out: the bonus round adds a meaningful chunk to the return, but the base game carries enough of it that a session without the feature does not always feel empty. That is the opposite of games such as Eye of Horus, where the base game is deliberately sparse.
Genie Jackpots RTP and a medium-volatility session in pounds
At the listed 96.49% RTP, the long-run expected cost is £3.51 for every £100 staked. The table applies that to a few typical sessions. Real sessions vary around these averages, but a medium-volatility game varies less than a high-volatility one.

A jackpot-linked version with a lower base return would cost more per £100 for anyone who does not land the jackpot. If your aim is the longest session from a set budget, a standalone version with a high help-screen RTP is the better pick. Our volatility guide explains how variance shapes these sessions.
UK rules for Genie Jackpots
At UK-licensed casinos, stakes are capped at £5 a spin for players aged 25 and over and £2 for 18 to 24-year-olds. Every spin takes at least 2.5 seconds, autoplay and turbo are not available, and wins smaller than the stake cannot be celebrated as wins. Feature purchases are not offered to British players, and demo play needs age verification first. The full set is explained in our UK slot rules guide.
The Genie Jackpots series
The 2015 original has grown into a small family, the newest member being Genie Jackpots Combo Frenzy, released in March 2026. According to the developer’s page, Combo Frenzy is a 50-line game in which coloured special symbols fill pots above the reels that can trigger one of three wheel bonuses, Sultan’s Palace (up to 10 free games), Enchanted Bazaar (up to 12) and Desert Dash (up to 15), and triggering more than one at once creates a Combo Bonus. Its RTP versions are 95%, 93.02% and 92%, and its maximum is 2,000x.

Frequently asked questions
What is the RTP of Genie Jackpots?
Slot database listings give Genie Jackpots an RTP of 96.49%, which means an expected long-run cost of about £3.51 for every £100 staked. The figure that applies to you is the one in the help screen at your casino, because versions can differ and a jackpot-linked version diverts part of each stake into the pot. Short sessions can land well above or below the average. Our RTP guide explains the maths, and high RTP slots lists alternatives with strong figures.
Does Genie Jackpots have a progressive jackpot?
It depends on the version your casino runs. Blueprint runs a progressive network called Jackpot King, and a number of its slots appear in casinos both with and without it. If your version is linked, the game screen shows the jackpot amounts and the help screen explains how the jackpot round is triggered. A linked version sets aside part of each stake for the pot, so the base game pays back a little less. Our progressive jackpot entry and progressive jackpot slots page explain how these networks work.
How many paylines does Genie Jackpots have?
Genie Jackpots has 20 fixed paylines on a 5-reel, 3-row grid. Your total stake is split evenly across all 20 lines, so a 20p spin puts 1p on each line. Wins are paid for matching symbols along a line from the leftmost reel, and wins on different lines in the same spin are added together. The line diagram in the help screen shows which patterns count. See our paylines entry and the 5 reel slots page for more on this layout.
Is Genie Jackpots high or low volatility?
Slot database ratings put Genie Jackpots at medium volatility. In practice that means line wins come along fairly regularly and the bonus round adds to the return without carrying almost all of it, so sessions swing less than on high-volatility games such as Eye of Horus. A medium game can still have long losing runs, and the house edge applies over time. Our volatility guide explains the ratings, and the slot budget guide helps you size a session.
When was Genie Jackpots released?
Genie Jackpots was released by Blueprint Gaming in December 2015. It predates the studio’s run of Megaways conversions and comes from the period when 20-line, 5 × 3 games were the standard format for UK online slots. The series has since grown, most recently with Genie Jackpots Combo Frenzy, which Blueprint released in March 2026. Our Blueprint Gaming page covers the studio’s history, and classic slots explains older formats.
What is Genie Jackpots Combo Frenzy?
Genie Jackpots Combo Frenzy is a 50-line follow-up that Blueprint released in March 2026. According to the developer’s page, coloured special symbols fill pots above the reels, which can trigger one of three wheel bonuses awarding up to 10, 12 or 15 free games, and triggering more than one at once combines them into a Combo Bonus. Its RTP versions are 95%, 93.02% and 92%, and its maximum is 2,000x. Our new slots guide explains how to judge recent releases like this one.
What is the maximum stake on Genie Jackpots in the UK?
The maximum stake on Genie Jackpots at a UK-licensed casino is £5 a spin for players aged 25 and over and £2 a spin for players aged 18 to 24. The game itself may offer higher levels in other markets, but British sites must apply these caps. The minimum depends on the casino, and on a 20-line game it is split across all lines, so 20p means 1p a line. Our UK slot rules guide explains the limits and when they started, and low stake slots covers playing at the bottom of the range.
Can I play Genie Jackpots in demo mode?
Many UK casinos and slot sites offer a demo of Genie Jackpots, but you need to verify your age first, which has been a UK requirement for free-to-play games since 2019. The demo is useful for learning the paytable and seeing how often the bonus appears in a handful of spins, but it cannot predict real-money outcomes, and jackpot amounts in a demo are not real. Our free slots page and demo mode entry explain more.
