Slots reload bonus explained

A slots reload bonus is a deposit match offered to existing customers on a later deposit, rather than the first one. None of the five UK sites we work with publishes a standing reload deal, so this page explains how reloads work and how to judge one, and shows the first-deposit matches that come closest. 18+, terms apply.

Key takeaways

  • A reload bonus matches a second or later deposit, usually at a lower percentage than a welcome offer.
  • UK reloads are capped at 10x wagering, the same as every other casino bonus since January 2026.
  • None of our five partners publishes a permanent reload offer; personalised offers vary by account.
  • Casumo's 50% and 10bet's 100% first-deposit matches are the nearest verified alternatives.
  • A reload is never a reason to deposit more than you planned.

The honest picture on slots reload bonuses at our partners

Reload offers exist at UK casinos, but most are now personalised: one account sees a 25% match on Friday deposits, another sees nothing. That makes them impossible to verify as public offers, and we only describe offers we can check against published terms.

None of Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO, Casumo or 10bet lists a permanent reload bonus in the terms we work from. What they do publish are welcome offers for new customers, compared on our slot sites hub. If you hold an account with one of them and a reload arrives in your inbox, the guidance below will help you read it.

Anatomy of a slots reload bonus

Every reload has the same building blocks as a matched deposit welcome offer, usually smaller. Reading one means finding six numbers or rules in the terms.

PartExample wordingQuestion to ask
Match percentage25% reloadHow much bonus per £1 deposited?
CapUp to £50What deposit reaches the cap?
Qualifying windowDeposit between Friday and SundayIs the timing natural for me, or would I deposit just for this?
Opt-inClaim in Promotions before depositingDo I have to press a button first?
Wagering10x the bonus within 7 daysHow much must I stake, and by when?
RestrictionsSelected slots, £5 max betWhich games count, and at what stake?

If any of these is missing from the offer page, look for a link to full terms before depositing. An offer you can't read in full is one to leave alone.

Reload bonus vs welcome bonus

Welcome offers are the casino's pitch for new customers, so they tend to be the most generous deal an account will see. A reload is a retention tool. In practice that usually means a lower percentage, a smaller cap, or a shorter wagering window.

  • Who gets it: welcome offers are public; reloads are often targeted at specific accounts.
  • How often: a welcome bonus is once per person; reloads can repeat weekly or monthly.
  • Where you see it: welcome offers on the homepage; reloads in the inbox, app or promotions tab.
  • Rules: both are capped at 10x wagering and can't require a bet on another product, such as sport, to unlock.

Our slots welcome bonus page ranks the five public offers we can verify, and existing customer free spins covers the spin-based side of retention offers.

Three reload examples worked through

The following are illustrative examples, not offers from any casino. They show how small changes to percentage, cap and window change the value.

Example A: 25% up to £25, deposit £100

Bonus £25. Wagering 10 × £25 = £250. At 96% RTP the average cost of that wagering is about £10, so the theoretical value is around £15. The catch: you had to deposit £100 to unlock it.

Example B: 50% up to £20, deposit £40

Bonus £20. Wagering £200, average cost about £8, theoretical value about £12. Less bonus than A, but on less than half the deposit.

Example C: 100% up to £10, deposit £10

Bonus £10. Wagering £100, average cost about £4, value about £6. Smallest bonus, smallest commitment.

ExampleDepositBonusWageringAvg cost at 96%Bonus value per £1 deposited
A: 25% to £25£100£25£250£1015p
B: 50% to £20£40£20£200£830p
C: 100% to £10£10£10£100£460p

The last column is the useful one. A reload that looks bigger in pounds can be weaker per pound deposited. If your normal deposit is £20, examples B and C are the ones that fit; A only suits someone who'd deposit £100 regardless.

How the 10x cap changed reload bonuses

Before 19 January 2026, a reload with 35x wagering on a £25 bonus meant £875 of stakes and an average cost of about £35 at 96% RTP, more than the bonus itself. Those offers often had negative value on paper. With 10x as the ceiling, the same £25 needs £250 of stakes and the maths generally comes out positive on average.

That doesn't make every reload worth taking. Positive average value only matters if you'd play the stakes anyway. Our 10x wagering slots bonus page and the wagering explained with examples guide go further into the numbers.

Where reload offers appear at UK slot sites

Because reloads are targeted, they rarely sit on a public page. These are the usual places to look in an account you already hold:

  • Promotions tab: some casinos list opt-in deals for logged-in players only.
  • Account inbox: Ladbrokes, for example, delivers its daily welcome spins through the inbox, and targeted offers often arrive the same way.
  • Rewards areas in the app: the Coral app listing mentions Smart Rewards, Rewards Grabber and Coral Coins promotions.
  • Email or SMS: only if you've agreed to marketing; you can change those preferences in account settings.

If you'd rather not receive deposit offers at all, switch off marketing in your account. That's a sensible step if offers tempt you to deposit when you hadn't planned to.

How to judge a slots reload bonus in five minutes

  1. Decide how much you were going to deposit before reading the offer.
  2. Work out the bonus that amount earns: deposit × match percentage, up to the cap.
  3. Multiply the bonus by the wagering multiple to get total stakes needed.
  4. Divide total stakes by your usual spin stake to see how many spins that is, and check it fits the time window.
  5. Read the restrictions: eligible slots, max bet, payment methods and whether the bonus can be withdrawn after wagering.
  6. If any step means changing your plan to suit the casino, skip the offer.

The order matters: setting your deposit first stops the bonus from setting it for you. Our slot bankroll management guide explains how to fix amounts in advance.

Reload terms that should make you pause

  • A short window such as 24 or 48 hours to complete wagering on a large bonus.
  • A max bet rule that's easy to break because stakes are shown as coin values rather than total bet.
  • A small list of eligible slots with low RTP versions.
  • A cap on winnings that is low compared with the bonus.
  • Any offer sent just after you've had a run of losses, framed as a way to win it back.

The last one is a safer gambling issue as much as a bonus one. Our guide to the signs slots are becoming a problem lists chasing losses among the early warning signs.

Where to find the closest offers to a slots reload bonus

No partner publishes a standing reload, so the nearest verified matches are first-deposit offers: Casumo's 50% up to £100 (minimum £20, 10x in 7 days, £5 max bet) and 10bet's 100% up to £25 (10x on slots in 3 days, £1,000 max bonus winnings). Coral gives 100 spins at 10p after a £10 slots bet, with no wagering. All 18+, terms apply.

Frequently asked questions

What is a slots reload bonus?

A slots reload bonus is a deposit match offered to existing customers on a later deposit, rather than the first. For example, a 25% reload up to £25 adds £25 of bonus to a £100 deposit. Like any UK casino bonus, the wagering can't exceed 10x, and the bonus is locked until that is met. Our slot bonuses hub explains every bonus type, and the matched deposit entry defines the term.

Do Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO, Casumo or 10bet offer reload bonuses?

None of them publishes a permanent reload bonus in the terms we work from. Existing-customer offers at UK casinos are increasingly personalised, so some account holders may see deposit offers in their inbox or promotions tab while others don't. We can only describe offers we can verify, which are the five welcome offers. Our slot sites hub compares the five partners, and existing customer free spins looks at retention offers.

Is a reload bonus worth it with 10x wagering?

It can have positive average value, but only if you'd deposit and play the same amount anyway. A £20 bonus at 10x needs £200 of stakes, which costs about £8 on average on a 96% RTP slot, leaving roughly £12 in theory. Real results swing widely and losing the whole balance is common. If the offer changes how much you'd deposit, it isn't worth it. See how to use a slots bonus for more.

How often do reload bonuses come round?

It varies by casino and by account. Some operators run weekly reloads tied to a particular day, others send occasional one-off offers, and many send nothing to some customers. Because UK operators have to consider customer welfare when targeting offers, frequent deposit prompts aren't something to expect or rely on. You can switch off marketing in your account settings if you'd prefer not to receive them. Our weekly free spins page covers the spins-based equivalent.

Can I get a reload bonus if I deposit by PayPal?

That depends on the offer's payment terms, which are set separately for each promotion. Some UK casino offers exclude e-wallets or prepaid cards; Coral and Ladbrokes, for instance, exclude PayPal deposits from their welcome spins. Always check the payment section of the terms before depositing, because a deposit made with an excluded method can't usually be linked to the offer afterwards. Our PayPal slots page explains how PayPal works at UK slot sites.

What is the difference between a reload bonus and cashback?

A reload adds bonus money when you deposit, before you play; cashback returns a share of losses or stakes after you've played. A reload's value depends on how much you deposit, while cashback's depends on how much you lose or stake. Both are casino bonuses, so both are subject to the UK's 10x wagering cap if any wagering applies. Our slots cashback page explains how cashback schemes work, and the cashback glossary entry defines it.

Do reload bonuses need a promo code?

Some do, but most UK reload offers now use an opt-in button or apply automatically to accounts that have been sent the offer. None of our five partners uses a promo code for its welcome offer. If a reload email includes a code, enter it exactly where the terms say, usually in the cashier before depositing. Our slot bonus codes page explains codes, opt-ins and what to do if you forget one.

Can a reload bonus be withdrawn straight away?

No. Reload bonus funds are locked until you complete the wagering requirement, which can't exceed 10x the bonus in the UK. Your own deposit is usually withdrawable, but taking it out before wagering is complete normally cancels the bonus. Once wagering is done, any remaining balance converts to cash, subject to any winnings cap in the terms. Our how to withdraw slot winnings guide covers the withdrawal process.

Should I take a reload offer after losing?

It's better not to. An offer that arrives after a losing run can feel like a chance to win money back, but that is chasing losses, and a bonus doesn't change the house edge on the slots you play. If you notice yourself depositing to recover losses, take a break and consider setting a deposit limit or time-out. Our guides on how to take a break from slots and gambling support in the UK can help.
