A slots VIP bonus is a personalised offer, such as bonus funds, spins or faster service, given to players a casino treats as high-value customers. In the UK these schemes are invitation-only and come with mandatory affordability and harm checks. None of our partners publishes VIP terms, so this page explains how they work and what they really cost. 18+, terms apply.
VIP bonuses are personal and invitation-only; there's no public VIP offer to compare at our partners.
UK operators must run affordability and harm checks before offering high-value customer incentives.
VIP bonuses follow the same rules as any bonus: 10x wagering cap and £5 or £2 stake limits.
A VIP bonus is small compared with the losses expected from the play that earns it.
You can decline VIP status or ask to be removed from a scheme at any time.

What a slots VIP bonus means in the UK
VIP is marketing shorthand for a casino's high-value customer scheme: the small group of players who stake the most. A VIP bonus is any incentive offered to that group, from bonus funds and spins to event invitations, gifts, a named account manager or quicker withdrawals.
Unlike a welcome offer, there's no public advert to read. Terms are personal, agreed account by account, which is why you won't find VIP bonuses on comparison pages, including ours. What we can explain is the structure, the rules and the maths.
UK rules on VIP schemes and high-value customers
The Gambling Commission tightened the rules on VIP schemes in 2020 after finding that some high-spending customers had been harmed. Since then, UK-licensed operators must take specific steps before offering high-value customer incentives.
Affordability: the operator must be satisfied the customer's spending is affordable.
Risk of harm: the operator must assess whether the customer shows signs of gambling harm before and while offering incentives.
Oversight: decisions about high-value customers need senior accountability within the business.
Ongoing review: checks aren't one-off; operators must keep monitoring and withdraw incentives if concerns arise.
On top of that, every rule that applies to ordinary players applies to VIPs: the 10x wagering cap since 19 January 2026, stake limits of £5 per spin (25 and over) or £2 (18–24), no credit card gambling and no bonus buys. Our guides to affordability checks and UK slot rules for 2026 explain these in full.

The maths behind a slots VIP bonus
VIP perks look generous in isolation. Set against the play that earns them, they're small. Here's an illustrative example; no casino publishes these figures.
A player stakes £20,000 a month on slots averaging 96% RTP.
Average monthly cost of that play: 4% × £20,000 = £800.
The casino offers a £200 VIP bonus with 10x wagering.
The £2,000 of wagering adds about £80 of average cost, leaving about £120 of value.
Net average monthly cost to the player: about £800 − £120 = £680.
The bonus reduces the expected cost a little; it doesn't change the direction. Turnover of £20,000 also doesn't mean £20,000 deposited, since winnings are re-staked, but it does show why the house edge matters most to the heaviest players. Our slot RTP vs casino payout guide explains turnover.

Questions to ask if you're offered VIP status
Ask yourself whether your current spending is money you can comfortably afford to lose.
Ask the casino to put every bonus term in writing: amount, wagering, eligible games, expiry, max bet.
Check whether perks depend on keeping up a level of play each month.
Ask how to leave the scheme and stop VIP contact if you change your mind.
Set or lower a deposit limit before accepting anything.
If any of this feels like pressure, decline; there's no penalty for saying no.
Warning signs around VIP offers
Offers that arrive just after a large loss, or that suggest winning back money.
An account manager who contacts you frequently or encourages bigger deposits.
Perks that disappear unless you keep playing at a set level.
Requests to move to another brand or channel to keep your status.
Any suggestion that VIP status lets you go above UK stake limits; it doesn't.
If any of these sound familiar, read signs slots are becoming a problem and consider a time-out or self-exclusion. The National Gambling Helpline is free on 0808 8020 133, 24 hours a day, and GamCare offers further support.
How to leave a VIP scheme or stop VIP contact
You can ask any UK casino to remove you from its VIP or high-value programme and to stop personal contact. Marketing preferences in your account settings control emails, texts and calls, and support can action a request to close VIP status. A time-out or deposit limit is set within the account and takes effect without needing anyone's approval.

Frequently asked questions
What is a slots VIP bonus?
A slots VIP bonus is a personalised incentive offered to a casino's high-value customers, such as bonus funds, spins, money back, gifts or faster service. It's invitation-only and the terms are set account by account rather than advertised. In the UK, it must follow the same 10x wagering cap and stake limits as any other bonus. Our slot bonuses hub explains other offer types, and slot loyalty rewards covers open schemes.
How do you become a VIP at a UK casino?
VIP status is offered by the casino, usually to customers who stake large amounts regularly. You can't normally apply. Before offering high-value incentives, UK operators must check that the customer's spending is affordable and assess the risk of gambling harm, so an invitation will often follow, or come with, requests for financial information. Our affordability checks guide and KYC entry explain those checks.
Do Coral, PlayOJO or Casumo have VIP schemes?
None of our partners publishes VIP scheme terms in the information we work from, so we don't describe any. What they do publish are open reward features: PlayOJO's OJOplus money back, Casumo's Adventure levels and Trophy Collection, and Coral's Smart Rewards, Rewards Grabber and Coral Coins promotions, as listed in their apps. VIP arrangements, if offered, are personal. Our Coral vs PlayOJO comparison covers the public offers.
Can VIP players bet more than £5 a spin on slots?
No. UK online slot stake limits apply to everyone: £5 per spin for players aged 25 and over, from 9 April 2025, and £2 per spin for players aged 18–24, from 21 May 2025. VIP status, account managers and bonuses make no difference. Any offer suggesting otherwise on a UK-licensed site is wrong. Our UK slot stake limits guide and stake limit entry explain the rules.
Do VIP bonuses have wagering requirements?
They can. VIP bonus funds follow the same UK rule as every other casino bonus: wagering can't exceed 10x since 19 January 2026. A £200 VIP bonus at 10x needs £2,000 of stakes, costing about £80 on average at 96% RTP. Cash gifts and no-wagering spins are worth closer to face value. Always get the terms in writing. Our 10x wagering slots bonus page explains the cap.
Are VIP schemes safe?
They're legal and regulated, but they carry extra risk because they're aimed at the people who gamble most. The UKGC tightened its rules in 2020 for that reason, requiring affordability and harm checks before incentives are offered. If VIP contact encourages you to deposit more or play longer than you intended, ask to leave the scheme. Our responsible gambling page lists UK support, including the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133.
Why did a casino remove my VIP status?
Operators must review high-value customers continually, so status can be withdrawn if affordability information is missing, if spending looks unaffordable, or if there are signs of harm. It may also change if your play pattern changes or the scheme is restructured. Casinos don't always give detailed reasons. If you think a decision was wrong, you can raise it through the casino's complaints process. Our how to complain to a slot site guide explains the steps.
Is a VIP bonus worth more than a welcome bonus?
In pounds, a VIP bonus can be larger, but it's earned through far more play. In the illustrative example on this page, a £200 VIP bonus sits against £800 of average monthly losses on £20,000 of stakes. A welcome offer, by contrast, is a one-off for a new account at modest stakes. Neither turns slots into a profitable activity. Compare the public offers on our slots welcome bonus page.
How do I stop VIP calls and emails?
Change your marketing preferences in your account settings to stop emails, texts and calls, and ask customer support to remove you from any VIP or high-value programme. You can also set a deposit limit or take a time-out yourself without waiting for anyone. For a break from all UK-licensed sites at once, register with GAMSTOP. Our how to block gambling sites guide adds further steps.
Gambling can be addictive. Free, confidential help is available 24 hours a day from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133. Get support from GamCare or NHS gambling support, or block yourself from all UK-licensed gambling sites with GAMSTOP.
