NetBet slots: operator and licence in brief
The company responsible for NetBet in Great Britain is Netbet Enterprises Limited, with its office at Level 5, The Emporium, in Msida, Malta. Its UK Gambling Commission account number is 39170. That account covers every NetBet product sold to British customers, from slots to sports betting, under a single licence reference.
We don’t partner with NetBet and give it no rating. This profile reports what the register and the brand’s own published details show, so you can make your own judgement.
Seven NetBet domains under one licence
Rather than running unrelated brands, NetBet divides its own brand into product areas, each with its own web address. The register lists all seven as active.

Because all seven sit under one licensee, they share the same compliance team, safer gambling obligations and complaints process.
Casino or Vegas: where to find slots on NetBet
Having both a Casino and a Vegas area can be confusing at first. Operators that split their games this way often use one area for a broad casino mix and another for a slots-heavy lobby, but the names alone don’t guarantee where a particular game sits. The quickest approach is to search for the slot by name from the main site, then check which area opens.
Once you are in a game, the location stops mattering. The RTP, maximum win and feature rules are set inside each slot, and the UK rules apply wherever it sits on the site. If you are new to reading game rules, our guide to how to read a slot paytable is a good starting point.

NetBet’s 2025 settlement: what a section 116 review means
Section 116 of the Gambling Act 2005 lets the Gambling Commission review an operator’s licence when it has concerns. A review can end in a sanction imposed by the Commission or in a regulatory settlement, where the operator agrees to pay money in place of a penalty and accept other outcomes.
NetBet’s case ended in a settlement published on 5 November 2025. Netbet Enterprises Limited agreed to a £650,000 payment in lieu of a financial penalty, paid the Commission’s costs and accepted a public statement. The review found that between October 2023 and July 2024 the operator had weak anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing and social responsibility controls across its online casino and betting businesses, breaching several licence conditions and codes.
Social responsibility controls include monitoring for signs of harm and acting on them. Our guide to affordability checks explains why sites may ask about your spending.
A brand older than its UK licence
NetBet’s site copyright runs from 2001, so the brand existed long before its current UK licences. That gap is common. Since 1 November 2014, any operator selling to British customers has needed a Gambling Commission licence wherever it is based, and operators entered or re-entered the UK market at different times after that. For NetBet, the UK licences began in November and December 2017.
For players, the licence date is the more useful one: it marks when UK rules on age checks, stake limits and fair games began to apply to NetBet’s British customers. Our history of online slots in the UK sets that change in context.
Why RTP versions matter on any NetBet slot
Many slots are supplied in several RTP versions, and an operator chooses which to run. The difference looks small on paper but adds up with every pound you stake. Here is the theoretical cost of £500 of total spins, for example 1,000 spins at 50p, at three common settings:
RTP
Average returned
Average cost
97%
£485
£15
96%
£480
£20
94%
£470
£30
Real sessions swing far above and below these averages, but the gap between 97% and 94% doubles the long-run cost. Checking the RTP in each game’s help screen takes seconds. Our RTP versions guide and the high RTP slots page go further.
How to check NetBet’s register entry
Find the licence wording in the netbet.co.uk footer and note Netbet Enterprises Limited and account 39170.
Search the Gambling Commission public register by account number.
Confirm the casino licence is active from 8 December 2017.
Open the domain names tab and check the subdomain you are using is among the seven listed.
Read the regulatory actions tab for the full November 2025 settlement statement.
On a site with sport, poker, lottery and casino areas, limits normally cover the whole account, which helps keep total spending visible. Deposit limits, time-outs, reality checks and self-exclusion must all be offered. GAMSTOP excludes you from every UK-licensed site at once, while the National Gambling Helpline offers free, confidential support on 0808 8020 133 at any hour. Our safer gambling page lists further support, including GamCare and NHS clinics.

Frequently asked questions
Who operates NetBet in the UK?
NetBet is operated by Netbet Enterprises Limited, which holds UK Gambling Commission account 39170. The company’s office is at The Emporium in Msida, Malta. One licence reference covers all of NetBet’s products for British customers: casino, Vegas, live casino, poker, sports betting and lottery, each with its own subdomain on the register. Because everything sits under one licensee, the same compliance obligations and complaints route apply across the brand. Our guide on how to complain to a slot site explains what to do if a problem isn’t resolved.
Is NetBet licensed by the UK Gambling Commission?
Yes. Netbet Enterprises Limited has held an active remote casino licence since 8 December 2017, along with betting, virtual betting, linked gambling software and pool betting licences, all under account 39170. All seven NetBet domains appear as active on the register. The register also shows one regulatory action: a £650,000 settlement published on 5 November 2025. A licence means NetBet’s slots must follow UK rules on stakes, spin speed and fair testing. Our licence-checking guide shows how to confirm it yourself.
Why did NetBet pay £650,000 to the Gambling Commission?
After a licence review under section 116 of the Gambling Act 2005, the Commission found that between October 2023 and July 2024 Netbet Enterprises Limited had weak anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing and social responsibility controls across its online casino and betting businesses. The operator agreed a regulatory settlement, published on 5 November 2025, paying £650,000 in lieu of a financial penalty plus the Commission’s costs, and accepting a public statement. The full statement is on the register’s actions tab. Our UKGC glossary entry explains how settlements differ from imposed penalties.
What is the difference between NetBet Casino and NetBet Vegas?
They are separate product areas of the same NetBet site, each with its own subdomain on the UK Gambling Commission register: casino.netbet.co.uk and vegas.netbet.co.uk. Operators that split games like this often use one area for a broad casino mix and another for a slots-focused lobby, but the register doesn’t describe the contents, so search for a game by name to see where it sits. Your account, balance and limits are the same in both. Our guide to how to choose a slot helps once you are in the lobby.
How long has NetBet been around?
NetBet’s website copyright dates from 2001, so the brand is more than two decades old. Its UK Gambling Commission licences are newer: pool betting from 8 November 2017 and casino, betting and software licences from 8 December 2017. Since November 2014, every operator selling to British players has needed a Commission licence, so the 2017 dates mark when NetBet’s products came under UK regulation in their current form. For more on how the rules developed, see our guide to the history of online slots in the UK.
Does a regulatory settlement affect my NetBet account?
Not directly. A settlement is an agreement between the operator and the regulator, and it doesn’t close or freeze customer accounts. The licence remains active, and the operator has to fix the weaknesses the review found, which can mean more checks on customers, for example around where deposits come from or whether spending is affordable. If you are asked for documents, that is the operator meeting its obligations. Our guide to slot site verification documents lists what is commonly requested and why.
Can I play poker and slots on the same NetBet account?
NetBet lists a separate poker subdomain, poker.netbet.co.uk, under the same UK Gambling Commission account as its casino and Vegas areas, so the products are run by one licensee. Whether they share a single balance or need transfers between wallets is something to check in your account or with support, because operators handle this differently. Either way, deposit limits normally apply to the account as a whole. Our slot bankroll management guide explains how to keep a budget for slots separate from other games.
Is NetBet based in Malta?
Yes. Netbet Enterprises Limited, the licensed operator, gives its head office as Level 5, The Emporium in Msida, Malta. Many UK-facing operators are based in Malta or Gibraltar, but where the company sits doesn’t change the rules for British customers: anyone selling gambling to people in Great Britain needs a UK Gambling Commission licence and must follow its requirements on age checks, stake limits, slot design and safer gambling. Our UK slot rules guide summarises every rule that applies.
Gambling can be addictive. Free, confidential help is available 24 hours a day from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133. Get support from GamCare or NHS gambling support, or block yourself from all UK-licensed gambling sites with GAMSTOP.
