Ladbrokes jackpot slots

Ladbrokes jackpot slots live under the Jackpots tab, and the Ladbrokes lobby describes four ways a pot can pay: progressives that climb without limit, capped pots that must pay before a ceiling, hourly and daily prizes on a timer, and Blueprint's Rapid Fire and Jackpot King networks. This guide explains each one, the maths behind the pot and how to judge a game.

Key takeaways

  • The Ladbrokes Jackpots tab groups progressives, capped pots, hourly and daily jackpots, Rapid Fire and Age of the Gods.
  • Capped and timed pots drop more often but pay less; uncapped network pots are rarer and larger.
  • Every jackpot is funded by a slice of stakes, so expect a lower base-game return than a comparable non-jackpot slot.
  • Ladbrokes' daily welcome spins are tied to selected games in the terms, which may not include jackpot titles.

Ladbrokes jackpot slots in short

Ladbrokes has a Jackpots tab in its casino lobby, and its jackpots page sorts the games by how the pot behaves rather than by theme. Some pots are confined to a single slot, others are fed by several games at once; some can climb into the millions with no restriction, while others have a limit and must be paid before reaching it. On top of that sit hourly and daily jackpots that pay out on a schedule, and a top-tier Mega Jackpot.

Ladbrokes is operated by LC International Limited under UKGC account 54743, the Entain licence it shares with Coral, so the two sites draw on the same platform. The jackpot mix overlaps heavily, but the way each site presents it differs; our Coral jackpot slots page looks at Coral's families. For the wider Ladbrokes lobby, see our Ladbrokes slots review.

Four kinds of Ladbrokes jackpot, sorted by how they drop

The single most useful question about any jackpot is: what forces it to pay? The answer tells you roughly how big it gets and how often it lands.

TypeWhat forces a payoutTypical sizeHow often it lands
Hourly jackpotA timer; must drop within the hourSmallEvery hour
Daily jackpotA timer; must drop by the daily deadlineSmall to mediumEvery day
Capped progressiveA ceiling; must pay before the maximumMediumWhenever it nears the cap, if not before
Uncapped progressive (incl. Mega Jackpot)Nothing but chanceCan reach seven figuresRarely; can go months

Hourly and daily pots are what most sites call must-drop jackpots. Ladbrokes' page names Crazy Genie, Dragon's Luck and Treasure Mine as daily jackpot titles. The uncapped pots are classic progressive jackpots, and the Age of the Gods tab collects Playtech's mythology-themed network.

Capped pots at Ladbrokes: why the ceiling matters

Ladbrokes' page says some jackpots have a limit and must be paid out before the maximum is reached. A capped pot is predictable in one way: you can see how close it is to the ceiling. That tempts some players to wait until a pot is nearly full and then pile in. The logic doesn't hold up well. The pot is shared with everyone on the linked games, each spin's chance of taking it is tiny, and the stake you place to chase it carries the usual house edge.

A fair way to think of it: as the cap approaches, the pot becomes more likely to drop to somebody in the next stretch of play. It does not become likely to drop to you. Our explainer on why slots are never due a win covers the same trap from another angle.

Rapid Fire and Jackpot King at Ladbrokes

Both are Blueprint Gaming networks, attached to many of the studio's best-known games. Jackpot King editions carry the name in the title and use a separate bonus, triggered by Jackpot King symbols, in which the progressive tiers can be won. Ladbrokes' page describes Jackpot King as three progressive jackpots.

Rapid Fire works differently. Ladbrokes' page says Rapid Fire can be won on any spin, and that playing any of the linked games gives a chance at any of the jackpots. Titles listed include Eye of Horus, The Goonies Deluxe, King Kong Cash DJ Prime8, Luck O' The Irish Cash Strike, Meerkat Mayhem and Deal or No Deal Megaways. If you like a particular Blueprint game such as Fishin' Frenzy, it may exist in a plain version, a Jackpot King version and a Rapid Fire version, each with its own RTP. More on the studio is on our Blueprint Gaming page.

Megaways games with a jackpot attached

Several of the top-ten titles on Ladbrokes' jackpots page are Megaways games with a pot added: Piggy Riches Megaways, Gonzo's Quest Megaways, Primate King MegaWays, Dynamite Riches MegaWays and Rainbow Jackpots MegaWays. Two of these have base-game figures in our database.

SlotDeveloperRTPVolatilityMax win
Piggy Riches MegawaysRed Tiger95.71%High10,474x
Gonzo's Quest MegawaysRed Tiger95.77%Medium–high21,000x

Red Tiger is known for attaching daily drop jackpots to its games, which explains why its Megaways remakes appear in a jackpot list. Pairing a high-volatility reel set with a pot makes for a very streaky game. See Ladbrokes Megaways slots for the reel mechanics and Red Tiger for the studio.

Where jackpot money comes from, and the RTP cost

Every jackpot is built from a seed (a starting amount) plus a small share of each qualifying stake. That share is part of the game's RTP, so a jackpot slot's return splits into two parts: what the base game pays everyone, and what the pot pays one lucky player.

An illustration with round numbers

  • Imagine a game listed at 95% RTP, of which 2% feeds the jackpot. (These are illustrative numbers, not any specific Ladbrokes game.)
  • The base game then returns about 93% to ordinary play.
  • On £100 of spins, the theoretical base-game cost is £7, compared with £4 on a 96% non-jackpot slot.
  • The £2 sent to the pot is only returned to whoever wins it, which for nearly every player in nearly every session is someone else.

Real figures vary by game; the help screen often shows the total RTP and sometimes the jackpot share separately. For published numbers, Age of the Gods is listed at 95.02% including its jackpot contribution in our database.

What the running total on a Ladbrokes jackpot tile means

Many jackpot games show a live figure on their lobby tile. That figure is the current value of the top tier (or the shared pot) at that moment, and it changes as stakes come in and when it is won. It is not what you are likely to win, and it is not affected by anything you can see on screen. On networked games the total can reset because a player at another casino hit it. Treat the number as information about the pot, not a signal to play.

How to check a jackpot game and set limits at Ladbrokes

  1. Open the Jackpots tab and load the game you are interested in.
  2. Open the help screen and note the RTP, the number of jackpot tiers and how each tier is won.
  3. Check whether your stake changes your chance of the top tier, and whether there is a qualifying bet.
  4. Decide a session budget you are happy to lose in full; a jackpot is not part of the plan.
  5. Set a deposit limit and reality check in Ladbrokes' safer gambling settings.
  6. Stop when the budget or time is up, whatever the pot shows.

Frequently asked questions

What jackpot slots does Ladbrokes have?

Ladbrokes has a Jackpots tab covering progressive, capped, hourly and daily jackpots, along with Blueprint's Jackpot King and Rapid Fire networks and a separate Age of the Gods tab for Playtech's series. Titles named on its jackpots page include Crazy Genie, Dragon's Luck and Treasure Mine (daily) and Megaways games such as Piggy Riches Megaways in its top ten. Lobbies change, so search the title before playing. Our jackpot slots guide explains the genre.

What is an hourly jackpot at Ladbrokes?

An hourly jackpot is a pot that must be won within each hour, so it pays out on a fixed timetable. Ladbrokes' jackpots page mentions both an Hourly Jackpot and a Daily Jackpot that pay out regularly. Because they drop so often, these pots are small compared with network progressives, and they are shared across everyone playing the linked games. A timer doesn't make your spin more likely to win in any way you can use. See daily jackpot slots for how timed pots work.

What is Rapid Fire at Ladbrokes?

Rapid Fire is a Blueprint Gaming jackpot network linked to many of the studio's games. Ladbrokes' page says Rapid Fire can be won on any spin and that playing any linked game gives a chance at any of the jackpots. Listed games include Eye of Horus, The Goonies Deluxe, Meerkat Mayhem and Deal or No Deal Megaways. A Rapid Fire edition usually has a different RTP from the plain game, so compare help screens. Our Blueprint Gaming page covers the studio.

Do Ladbrokes jackpot slots have a lower RTP?

Usually, because part of each stake funds the pot and that share is only paid to whoever wins it. A game might list 95% overall but return noticeably less through the base game. Age of the Gods, for example, is listed at 95.02% including its jackpot contribution, below many standard slots at around 96%. Over a long run of spins that gap adds up. Check the help screen for the figure Ladbrokes runs. Our page on why RTP differs between casinos explains versions.

Is a capped jackpot more likely to pay when it is nearly full?

It is more likely to pay to somebody soon, but not more likely to pay to you. A capped pot must drop before reaching its maximum, so as it nears the ceiling a winner becomes more likely across all linked players. Your own spin still has only a tiny share of that chance, and every spin carries the normal house edge. Chasing a nearly full pot tends to mean staking more than planned. Our article on why slots are never due a win explains the reasoning.

Can I use Ladbrokes free spins on jackpot slots?

Only if a jackpot game is among the selected games in the offer terms. New customers aged 18+ who deposit and spend £10 or more on slots receive 50 free spins a day for 10 days (up to 500), at 10p each, claimed from the inbox before 23:59 each day and valid 7 days, with no wagering on winnings. Prepaid cards, PayPal and some e-wallets don't qualify. Check the game list when claiming. More on Ladbrokes free spins.

How much can I stake on Ladbrokes jackpot games?

Up to £5 a spin if you are 25 or over, and £2 a spin if you are 18 to 24, as with every online slot in Great Britain. A game's own maximum may be lower, and some jackpots set a qualifying stake or scale your chance with your bet; the rules screen says which. Higher stakes raise expected losses as fast as they raise jackpot chances. Our guide what stake should I play on slots helps you choose.

How do I withdraw a jackpot win from Ladbrokes?

Through the normal cashier, the same as any other win. Ladbrokes' help centre says withdrawals pass an internal review and then take from instantly to five banking days depending on the method, with Visa Fast Funds typically reaching your bank within about four hours of approval for amounts up to £2,000. It charges no withdrawal fees. Large wins may need extra identity checks first. See Ladbrokes withdrawal time for method-by-method detail.
