The Even Bigger Catch slot, full name Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Catch, is a 10-payline Blueprint Gaming game from February 2023 with a 10,000x maximum win. Its free spins add a Golden Fisherman who reveals collect multipliers of up to x10, but its RTP is 95% at best, with a 93% version also offered to casinos.
Three or more bonus symbols trigger free spins, where every fisherman is wild and collects the fish on screen.
Each four fishermen collected upgrade the smallest fish and add 5 spins; enough of them make every fish worth 50x the bet.
A Golden Fisherman landing with fish gives a pick that reveals a collect multiplier of up to x10.
RTP is 95% or 93% depending on the casino’s version, lower than the original Fishin’ Frenzy.

Even Bigger Catch slot: where it sits in the Fishin’ Frenzy family
Fishin’ Frenzy is one of the most familiar slot names in Britain, and Blueprint Gaming has built a whole family around it. This game descends directly from Fishin’ Frenzy The Big Catch, which Blueprint lists as its parent game. The idea is the same as in the original Fishin’ Frenzy: fish symbols carry cash values, and a fisherman collects them during free spins. What changes is how far the collecting can go.
This is a game for players who already know the series and want more from the bonus. The extra layers, fish upgrades, a 50x Big Catch and a Golden Fisherman with multipliers, lift the ceiling to 10,000x the stake, double the 5,000x listed for the original.
Reels, 10 paylines and the fish symbols
The game pays on 10 fixed paylines, like the original Fishin’ Frenzy and The Big Catch. Wins need matching symbols from the leftmost reel along one of those lines. Fish symbols show cash values, and in free spins those values are what the fishermen collect. The paytable lists the possible fish values for your stake, so check it before you play.
On a fixed-line game, the stake is spread evenly across the lines. At 10p a spin each line carries 1p; at £1, each carries 10p. The paylines vs ways guide explains how this differs from the ways systems in Megaways games.
Triggering free spins
Three or more bonus symbols anywhere in view award free spins. Blueprint’s game page doesn’t state the number of spins awarded for each count, so check the help screen. The trigger itself is the only way into the feature in the UK: the bonus buy that Blueprint offers in some markets isn’t available to players in Great Britain.
How the fishermen collect: worked examples
During free spins, any fisherman that lands becomes wild and pays a win for every fish in view on the same spin. That is the classic Fishin’ Frenzy mechanic, also known in the wider industry as cash collect.
Here is a simple example on a 20p stake. A fisherman lands alongside three fish showing 2x, 5x and 10x the stake. The collection pays 40p + £1 + £2 = £3.40. If two fishermen land on the same spin, each collects the fish, so the same screen would pay £6.80, because each fisherman pays for every fish in view.
Upgrades every four fishermen
Fishermen are also counted towards a collection. Every four collected upgrades the smallest fish to the next size up and awards 5 extra free spins. Upgrading removes the lowest value from the reels, so later collections are worth more on average. This is the round’s main engine for growth.
The Big Catch: every fish at 50x
Collect enough fishermen and the round reaches The Big Catch, in which every fish is worth 50x the bet. On a 20p stake, that is £10 per fish. A fisherman landing with four fish in view at that stage would collect £40.
The Golden Fisherman and the x10 pick
The feature that gives the game its name is the Golden Fisherman. When he lands in view with any fish, you get a pick: choose a fish, and it reveals a collect multiplier of up to x10, applied to that collection.
Put that alongside The Big Catch and the 10,000x cap starts to make sense. Four fish at 50x the bet total 200x; a x10 multiplier turns that into 2,000x. Several big collections in one round, with retriggered spins, are how the theoretical maximum could be approached. They are very rare, and Blueprint doesn’t publish how often they occur. Our guide to how multipliers work in slots covers multipliers of this kind.

Even Bigger Catch RTP: 95% or 93%, and why it matters
Blueprint lists two versions of the game: 95% and 93%. Both are lower than the 96.12% published for the original Fishin’ Frenzy, so this is a game where checking the RTP is especially worthwhile. The info screen at your casino tells you which version is live.
Take 500 spins at 10p, a £50 session. At 95% the theoretical cost is £2.50; at 93% it is £3.50, 40% more. Compared with a 96.12% game, the 93% version costs more than 80% extra in theory for the same play. The gap won’t decide any single session, where luck dominates, but over months of regular play it adds up.
Open the info screen and check whether the 95% or the 93% version is running.
Pick a stake. Blueprint’s range runs higher, but UK rules cap spins at £5 for over-25s and £2 for 18–24s.
Spin manually; UK slots have no autoplay or turbo, and each spin takes at least 2.5 seconds.
Land three or more bonus symbols to start free spins.
In free spins, watch the fisherman counter: every four upgrade the smallest fish and add 5 spins.
If the Golden Fisherman lands with fish, choose a fish to reveal the collect multiplier.
After the feature, check your net position against the budget you set.
UK rules: stake caps, no bonus buy and demo checks
Blueprint’s game page lists a main game bet range up to £100 and a bonus buy priced from £18. Neither applies in full in Great Britain. Stakes are capped at £5 or £2 depending on age, and feature buys aren’t offered. The demo can be played only after age verification. Our UK slot stake limits and bonus buy pages explain both rules.
Fish upgrades give the bonus a clear sense of progress
Golden Fisherman multipliers add real upside
Familiar, simple 10-line base game
Drawbacks
RTP of 95% or 93% is low for a modern slot
Spin counts per trigger not on the developer page
Big results depend on reaching The Big Catch
Base game is plain between features
It suits Fishin’ Frenzy fans who want a bonus with more stages and a higher ceiling, and who check the RTP version first. If RTP matters most to you, the original or the Big Bass games return more in theory.

Frequently asked questions
What is the RTP of Even Bigger Catch?
Blueprint Gaming offers Even Bigger Catch in two versions, 95% and 93% RTP. Casinos choose which to run, and the game’s info screen shows the live figure. Both are lower than the 96.12% listed for the original Fishin’ Frenzy, so over many sessions this game costs more in theory for the same stakes. On £50 staked, the gap between the versions is about £1. Our guide on how to find a slot’s RTP shows where to look.
What is the max win on Even Bigger Catch?
The maximum win on Even Bigger Catch is 10,000x the stake, according to Blueprint’s game page. That is £1,000 at 10p and £50,000 at the £5 UK maximum for players aged 25 and over. Results near the cap need The Big Catch, where every fish pays 50x the bet, combined with high Golden Fisherman multipliers across several collections. It is a rare outcome. Our slot max win explainer explains why caps rarely reflect typical play.
How do you trigger free spins on Even Bigger Catch?
Free spins start when three or more bonus symbols land anywhere in view. Blueprint’s page doesn’t list the number of spins for each count, so check the help screen in your casino’s version. Once in the round, extra spins are added for every four fishermen collected. Free spins can’t be bought in Great Britain. For a general look at how bonus rounds start, see our guide to how slot features trigger.
How does the Golden Fisherman work in Even Bigger Catch?
The Golden Fisherman is a special symbol in free spins. When he lands in view with any fish, you pick a fish, which reveals a collect multiplier of up to x10. That multiplier boosts the value of the collection, so a Golden Fisherman landing during The Big Catch, when every fish is worth 50x the bet, can produce large wins. Our multiplier glossary entry explains how multipliers are applied in different games.
How does The Big Catch feature work?
The Big Catch is a stage of the free spins round that you reach by collecting enough fishermen. Once it is active, every fish is worth 50x the bet, so a fisherman collecting four fish on a 20p stake would pay £40. Before that stage, every four fishermen collected upgrade the smallest fish and add 5 extra spins. The name also belongs to the parent game; see our The Big Catch review for that slot.
Is Even Bigger Catch the same as Fishin’ Frenzy?
No. It is part of the Fishin’ Frenzy family but builds on The Big Catch rather than the original game. It keeps the 10 paylines and the fisherman collecting fish in free spins, then adds fish upgrades, a 50x Big Catch stage and the Golden Fisherman’s multipliers. Its cap of 10,000x is double the original’s 5,000x, but its RTP is lower. Our Fishin’ Frenzy review covers the original.
Can I buy the bonus on Even Bigger Catch in the UK?
No. Blueprint offers a bonus buy for Even Bigger Catch in some markets, but feature buys are not available to players in Great Britain. In the UK, free spins can only be triggered by landing three or more bonus symbols during normal play. Stakes are also capped at £5 per spin for over-25s and £2 for 18 to 24-year-olds. Our page on buying bonuses on UK slots explains why the option is removed.
Can I play Even Bigger Catch for free?
You can play a demo of Even Bigger Catch in the UK once a licensed casino has verified that you are 18 or over, which has been required since May 2019. Demo credits can’t be withdrawn, but the free version is a good way to see how the fisherman upgrades and Golden Fisherman picks work. Keep in mind that a short demo session won’t show the game’s real long-term behaviour. Our free slots guide explains UK demo access.
Are there free spins offers for Fishin’ Frenzy games?
Offers tied to Fishin’ Frenzy games come and go, and any spins are restricted to the games named in the terms. None of our partners’ current welcome offers names Even Bigger Catch. PlayOJO’s offer gives 80 spins at 10p on Big Bass Bonanza, another fishing slot, after a first deposit of at least £10, with no wagering; 18+, terms apply. Our page on free spins on Fishin’ Frenzy covers offers on the original.
Is Even Bigger Catch better than Big Bass Bonanza?
It depends on what you value. Blueprint’s game has a much higher cap at 10,000x against 2,100x for Big Bass Bonanza, but its RTP is 95% or 93% compared with 96.71%. That means Big Bass Bonanza returns more in theory over time, while Even Bigger Catch offers more top-end potential in rare rounds. Both use 10 paylines and a fisherman collect mechanic. Our Fishin’ Frenzy vs Big Bass Bonanza comparison looks at the wider rivalry.
