The Fire Joker slot is Play’n GO’s compact 3×3 classic: five lines, a fiery joker wild, a respin that fires when two reels show matching stacks, and a multiplier wheel of up to 10x when the whole grid fills with one symbol. It has a 96.15% RTP, medium volatility and an 800x maximum win, so it plays small and steady rather than explosive.
Nine positions, five lines and one wild: one of the smallest grids in a UK lobby and one of the simplest to follow.
Respin of Fire re-spins the third reel once when two reels hold matching stacks but nothing has paid.
Fill all nine positions with one symbol and the Wheel of Multipliers awards up to 10x on that win.
RTP 96.15%, medium volatility, max win 800x: £400 at 50p, £4,000 at the £5 UK cap.

Fire Joker slot: what kind of game it is
Fire Joker is a three-reel slot from Swedish studio Play’n GO, released in June 2016. The developer describes it as a classic fruit-machine style game and the third title in its Joker series. Instead of free spins it has two small mechanics that both work in the base game, which keeps every spin self-contained: there is no bonus to wait for.
That design suits players who like short sessions and frequent decisions about whether to carry on. It sits with other 3-reel slots and classic slots, and its 800x ceiling is modest by modern standards, which is part of why the volatility is only medium.
The 3×3 grid and the five Fire Joker lines
Fire Joker has three reels and three rows, nine positions in total. Five paylines run across them, and each needs three matching symbols to pay.
Top row, left to right.
Middle row, left to right.
Bottom row, left to right.
Diagonal from top left to bottom right.
Diagonal from bottom left to top right.
All five lines are fixed, so your total stake is spread evenly across them. Symbols are classic fruit-machine icons, fruit, bars and sevens among them, with the joker as the wild. Values for each are shown in the paytable at your stake.
How to play Fire Joker
Pass the casino’s age verification, then open Fire Joker from the lobby.
Check the info screen for the RTP your casino runs and the symbol values.
Pick a total stake; it covers all five lines, within the £5 UK cap (£2 for ages 18–24).
Press spin. Three of a kind on any line pays; the joker fills gaps as a wild.
If two reels show full matching stacks with no win, watch for the automatic respin of the third reel.
If all nine positions match, the Wheel of Multipliers spins and multiplies that win.
The Fire Joker wild
The grinning joker is the wild symbol. It can land on any position on all three reels and substitutes for any symbol to complete a line. Jokers also count towards stacks, so they help both the respin trigger and a full grid. Because there are only five lines, a single joker on the middle reel can sit on up to three lines at once, which makes the centre position the most valuable place for it to land.
Respin of Fire: how the respin works
When any two reels land fully stacked with the same symbol, and no line has paid, the Respin of Fire kicks in. The two stacked reels stay where they are and the remaining reel spins once more without a further stake. If it lands the same symbol, wins pay on the lines that complete; if it fills the column, the whole grid matches and the multiplier wheel follows.
Worked example at 50p: reels 1 and 2 land fully stacked with the same fruit but reel 3 shows a mix and nothing pays. The third reel re-spins. That fruit or jokers in its positions complete lines, each paying the line value at your stake. A full column of the fruit or jokers on reel 3 complete all five lines and trigger the wheel. Most respins pay little or nothing, but the respin is the main route to the game’s bigger results.
The Fire Joker Wheel of Multipliers
Fill all nine positions with the same symbol, jokers included, and the Wheel of Multipliers spins. It awards a multiplier from 2x up to 10x, applied to that spin’s total win. A full grid already pays on all five lines, so the multiplier lands on a five-line win rather than a single line.
This is where the 800x ceiling comes from: a full grid of the best symbol with the top 10x multiplier. Lower symbols and smaller multipliers produce smaller results, which is why most wheel wins are a fraction of the cap.
The wheel is the closest thing Fire Joker has to a bonus round, but it is decided within a single spin. There is no free spins counter to track and nothing carries over between spins.
Fire Joker RTP and volatility: a 100-spin example
At 96.15% RTP, the theoretical cost is £3.85 per £100 staked. Over 100 spins at 50p, that is £50 staked and an average cost of £1.93. With spins of at least 2.5 seconds, 100 spins take at least 4 minutes 10 seconds, so a session can be short.

Medium volatility here means regular small hits, with respins and wheel spins adding occasional spikes. Losing runs still happen, and the house edge means the balance tends to fall over time. Our volatility guide and the hit frequency entry explain how these measures relate.
Is the Fire Joker 800x max win realistic?
The 800x cap is low compared with many modern games, which is precisely what keeps the volatility moderate. It requires a full grid of the top symbol and the top multiplier together, a rare combination. Smaller full-grid wins with lower multipliers are more common and still among the best spins the game produces. If a higher ceiling matters to you, our list of high max win slots shows how much more volatile those games tend to be.
Fire Joker and UK slot rules
£5 maximum stake per spin for players aged 25 and over; £2 for players aged 18–24.
No autoplay or turbo; at least 2.5 seconds per spin.
No celebratory effects on wins below the stake.
Age verification before you can open the demo.
Fire Joker never had a bonus buy, so the UK ban on bonus buys makes no difference. Our guide to UK slot stake limits explains how the caps apply.
Fire Joker compared with other classic-style slots
Sizzling Hot Deluxe has a higher ceiling but a lower RTP and no respin. Mega Joker adds a jackpot and a second reel set. Starburst is gentler still. Fire Joker sits between them as a small, quick game with two simple ways to lift a spin.

Frequently asked questions
What is the RTP of Fire Joker?
Fire Joker has a published RTP of 96.15%, so over millions of spins it returns £96.15 for every £100 staked, a theoretical cost of £3.85 per £100. Play’n GO offers several RTP versions to casinos, and some sites run lower ones, so check the info screen before playing. Short sessions will vary widely from the average. Our guides on slot RTP versions and how to find a slot’s RTP explain what to look for.
How does the Respin of Fire work?
The Respin of Fire triggers when any two reels land fully stacked with the same symbol and no line has paid. Those two reels stay in place and the third reel spins once more at no extra cost. Matching symbols or jokers on the respun reel complete lines, and a full column of them fills the grid and starts the Wheel of Multipliers. Many respins still pay nothing. Our respin entry and the guide to how slot features trigger explain similar mechanics.
What multipliers are on the Fire Joker wheel?
The Wheel of Multipliers awards from 2x up to 10x, applied to the total win from a spin where all nine positions show the same symbol. Because a full grid already pays on all five lines, the multiplier works on a five-line win. The top 10x on a full grid of the best symbol is what produces the 800x maximum. Lower multipliers are more common. Read our multiplier entry and the guide on how multipliers work in slots.
What is the max win on Fire Joker?
The maximum win on Fire Joker is 800 times your stake. At 50p that is £400; at £2 it is £1,600; and at the £5 UK maximum it is £4,000. It needs a full grid of the top symbol plus the 10x wheel multiplier, which is rare. The modest cap is one reason the game’s volatility is medium rather than high. See what max win means and the max win glossary entry for how caps are set.
Does Fire Joker have free spins?
No. Fire Joker has no free spins round. Its two features, the Respin of Fire and the Wheel of Multipliers, both happen within normal spins. That keeps the game simple and means there is no long wait for a bonus, but it also limits the ceiling to 800x. Casino offers may give free spins to use on it, which are separate promotions with their own terms. Our page on slots with free spins features lists games that have one, and 3-reel slots covers similar formats.
Is Fire Joker good for low stakes?
Fire Joker works well at low stakes because of its medium volatility and simple structure, so a small budget usually lasts a sensible number of spins. At 10p, £10 covers 100 spins with an average cost of about 39p at the 96.15% RTP, though results vary. Set a deposit limit and decide in advance when to stop. Our guides to low stake slot strategy and low stake slots suggest how to make a budget last.
Can I play Fire Joker for free in the UK?
Yes. Play’n GO offers a demo on its own site, and many UK casinos offer one too, but UK casinos must verify your age before you can open it. Demo credits have no cash value and the game follows the same rules as the paid version. It is a quick way to see how often respins and the wheel appear. Our answer on what a slot demo is and the guide to testing a slot in demo mode give more detail.
Is Fire Joker the same as Mega Joker?
No. Fire Joker is a Play’n GO game with a 96.15% RTP, medium volatility, a respin and a multiplier wheel. Mega Joker is a NetEnt game with a Supermeter mode and a random progressive jackpot, an RTP of up to 99% at the top stake with the Supermeter, and high volatility. Both use classic fruit-machine symbols on three reels with five lines. Read our Mega Joker review and the fruit slots page to compare.
Is Fire Joker a fair game?
Fire Joker is a fair game at UKGC-licensed casinos, which may only offer slots that have been independently tested, with outcomes decided by a certified random number generator. Fair does not mean profitable: the 96.15% RTP leaves a house edge of 3.85% over the long run, and any single session can lose. Respins and wheel spins are triggered by results, not by time or recent losses. See our guides on whether slots are rigged and how RNG works.
