Fruit Party 2 slot review

The Fruit Party 2 slot is Pragmatic Play's 2021 sequel on a 7x7 cluster-pays grid, with a 96.53% RTP, high volatility and a top prize of 5,000 times your stake. Instead of marking winning fruit with multipliers, it leaves wilds behind after wins, and those wilds grow: doubling up to 256x in the base game and tripling up to 729x in free spins.

What the Fruit Party 2 slot changes from the original

The first Fruit Party put random 2x multipliers on winning symbols, and when several landed in one cluster they multiplied together. The sequel keeps the 7x7 grid, the cluster wins and the tumbles, but moves the multiplier onto a wild symbol that a win can leave behind. That one change alters how big results build up.

In short, the original rewards several multipliers landing together in one cluster, while the sequel rewards a single wild surviving and growing over a chain of tumbles.

Grid, clusters and tumbles

Wins come from cluster pays: five or more matching fruits joined horizontally or vertically. Paid symbols are cleared and new fruit drops in, a cascading reels system Pragmatic Play calls tumbling. A spin keeps going as long as each tumble creates a new cluster. The fruit is bold and brightly coloured, and the grid is large enough to read comfortably in portrait on a phone.

How the growing wild multipliers work

When a winning cluster is cleared, Pragmatic Play says it can leave a wild behind with a 2x multiplier. The wild substitutes for any fruit, so it can join the next cluster. As the tumble sequence continues, the wild can reappear with its multiplier doubled, climbing 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x and on up to 256x.

Several wilds add, they don't multiply

If two or more wilds sit in the same winning cluster, their multipliers are added together. A cluster containing a 4x wild and an 8x wild is multiplied by 12x, not 32x. This is the opposite of the original game, where 4x and 8x symbols in one cluster would have given 32x. Adding grows more slowly at the top end, so the sequel's big results depend more on one wild climbing high than on several meeting in the same cluster.

The £0.80 cluster value is only an illustration; the in-game paytable gives real values at your stake. Long doubling chains are rare, so most wilds will pay at 2x or 4x.

How to play Fruit Party 2

  1. Check the RTP in the information screen; 96.53% is the published figure, but the casino may run a lower version.
  2. Set your stake. The UK maximum is £5 a spin from age 25 and £2 a spin for 18 to 24-year-olds.
  3. Spin one round at a time. UK slots have no autoplay or turbo, and each spin takes at least 2.5 seconds.
  4. Let each tumble chain finish and watch for wilds left behind by wins.
  5. Land three or more scatters to trigger free spins.

Fruit Party 2 free spins: tripling wilds

Three to seven scatters award between 10 and 25 free spins, with more scatters giving more spins. In this round, wilds start at 3x rather than 2x and their multiplier triples instead of doubling: 3x, 9x, 27x, 81x, 243x and up to 729x. Three or more scatters during the round add five more spins.

Tripling grows quickly. A wild that has tripled three times sits at 81x, so a cluster worth £0.80 would pay £64.80. Most free spins rounds don't produce long tripling chains, though, and the 5,000x win cap limits the total of any single round.

RTP, volatility and stake planning

The 96.53% RTP works out at a 3.47% house edge: on average, £3.47 of every £100 staked is kept over a very long run. The volatility is high, so in a typical session the result can be well above or, more often, well below that average.

Fruit Party 2 max win

The max win is 5,000 times your stake, matching the original game. A result that size would usually need free spins wilds that have tripled several times joining large clusters. Pragmatic Play doesn't publish how often the cap is reached, and nearly all sessions finish far below it.

UK rules and demo play for Fruit Party 2

Pros, cons and who it suits

Advantages

  • Growing wilds give tumble chains a clear goal
  • Free spins awards of up to 25 spins
  • Tripling multipliers up to 729x in the bonus
  • Slightly higher RTP than the original

Drawbacks

  • Adding multipliers is less explosive than the original's multiplying
  • High volatility with many empty spins
  • Same 5,000x cap as the first game

Fruit Party 2 suits players who enjoy watching a single wild build through a chain of tumbles. If you prefer the original's all-or-nothing multiplying, stick with the first game.

Frequently asked questions

What is the RTP of Fruit Party 2?

Fruit Party 2 has a published RTP of 96.53%, which means a theoretical return of £96.53 for every £100 staked across a very long run of spins. That's a touch above the original Fruit Party's 96.47%. Casinos can choose lower RTP versions of many Pragmatic Play games, so check the information screen in the game for the live figure. Our RTP guide explains what the number does and doesn't tell you about a session.

How do the wilds work in Fruit Party 2?

When a winning cluster is cleared, it can leave a wild with a 2x multiplier behind. The wild substitutes for any fruit, and as the tumble sequence goes on it can return with its multiplier doubled, up to 256x in the base game. In free spins, wilds start at 3x and triple, up to 729x. When several wilds are in the same cluster, their multipliers add together. Our wild symbol and multiplier entries explain both ideas.

How many free spins can you get on Fruit Party 2?

Three to seven scatters award between 10 and 25 free spins, with more scatters giving a longer round. During free spins, wilds start at 3x and triple each time they grow, and three or more scatters add five more spins. You can't buy the round in Great Britain, so the scatters have to land naturally. Our free spins feature and retrigger entries explain how scatter-triggered bonuses and extra spins work.

What is the max win on Fruit Party 2?

The maximum win on Fruit Party 2 is 5,000 times your stake: £500 at 10p, £5,000 at £1 and £25,000 at £5, the UK maximum for players aged 25 and over. A result near the cap usually needs wilds that have tripled several times in free spins joining big clusters. Pragmatic Play doesn't publish how often it happens, and most players never get close. Our max win entry explains how caps work.

Is Fruit Party 2 better than Fruit Party?

They suit different tastes. Fruit Party 2 has a slightly higher RTP at 96.53%, longer free spins of up to 25, and wild multipliers that grow to 729x in the bonus, but several wilds add together. The original Fruit Party, at 96.47%, multiplies symbol multipliers together, so a few marked symbols can boost a cluster sharply. Both are high volatility with a 5,000x cap. Our Fruit Party review covers the original in full.

Is Fruit Party 2 high volatility?

Yes, Fruit Party 2 is rated high volatility. Expect a lot of spins that pay nothing or less than your stake, with the bigger results coming from tumble chains in which a wild survives and grows, especially in free spins. That means your balance can fall steadily before a larger win, if one comes at all. Set a budget before you start. Our volatility guide explains high variance in pounds and pence.

Can you buy the bonus on Fruit Party 2 in the UK?

No. Bonus buy features aren't available to players in Great Britain, so the free spins on Fruit Party 2 can only be triggered by landing three or more scatters. A buy button may appear in overseas versions, but not on UK accounts. The same rules also remove autoplay and turbo and set a minimum spin time of 2.5 seconds. Our page on bonus buy slots explains why the feature isn't offered.

Can I play Fruit Party 2 for free in the UK?

You can play a demo at UK-licensed casinos once you've registered and verified your age, as required for free-to-play games since 2019. The demo uses play credit, so you can watch how wilds grow through a tumble chain without spending anything. A short demo session can look much better or worse than the game's long-run behaviour, so don't read too much into it. Our free slots guide and demo mode entry explain more.

What grid size does Fruit Party 2 use?

Fruit Party 2 uses a 7x7 grid of 49 positions, the same as the original Fruit Party and Pragmatic Play's Sugar Rush. Wins come from clusters of five or more matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically, with no paylines. A larger grid gives more room for clusters to form and for tumbles to refill, which suits the growing wild mechanic. Our cluster pays slots guide compares grid sizes across popular games.
