The Money Train 4 slot is Relax Gaming’s 2023 rebuild of its flagship series: paylines are gone, wins come from eight or more matching symbols anywhere on screen, and an Arms Dealer lets you trade Bonus symbols for features. The Money Cart grid starts at six by four and can open to six by six. RTP is 96.1%, volatility is high and the cap is 150,000x stake.
Relax Gaming, 2023: scatter pays (8+ matching symbols), 96.1% RTP, high volatility, 150,000x max win.
The Arms Dealer swaps Bonus symbols for features, so the base game has a collecting element.
In the bonus, Unlocker reveals rows (6 × 4 up to 6 × 6) and Reset refills the respin counter.
Relax lists a UK game ID ending in _92, so check the RTP your casino runs.

Why the Money Train 4 slot is the biggest change in the series
For three games, Money Train meant a 5x4 grid with 40 fixed lines. The fourth game drops that. Relax’s product page describes it as scatter pays, the same broad approach that Pragmatic Play popularised with Sweet Bonanza, where position doesn’t matter and only the count of a symbol on screen counts. The Money Cart respin bonus survives, now packed with what the developer advertises as more than 20 features.
That makes the fourth game the best entry for players who found the earlier base games dull, and the hardest one to read for anyone used to lines.
How scatter pays works in Money Train 4
With pay anywhere wins, eight or more identical symbols anywhere on the grid form a win, whether they touch or not. More symbols pay more, following the tiers in the paytable. A spin showing eight of one symbol and nine of another would pay both, separately.

How often do small wins land?

Relax doesn’t publish a hit rate, so we can’t say how often a win lands. What the table does show is that the bonus still carries the weight of the maths, as it did in every earlier game.
The Arms Dealer and Bonus symbol trading
The new character is the Arms Dealer, who, in Relax’s words, gives out features in exchange for Bonus symbols at any time. Rather than Bonus symbols only counting towards a trigger, they become something you collect and can spend. The game’s own help screen sets out the prices and what each purchase does in your version.
Two cautions apply. First, trading inside the game is part of the slot’s design and is priced into its RTP, so it isn’t a way to get value the maths hasn’t accounted for. Second, it isn’t the same as a bonus buy: you’re spending symbols won during normal play, not paying extra money. Paying cash to skip to the bonus, which Relax lists for some markets, isn’t offered in Great Britain.
Money Cart 4: Unlocker, Reset, Upgrader and Respin
The bonus keeps the series’ format: cash symbols stick, characters act on them, and the round ends when respins run out. Relax names four features worth understanding.
Unlocker
Reveals more rows. The bonus grid starts at six by four and can grow to six by six, so each Unlocker adds space for more cash symbols and more targets for characters.
Reset
Refills the spin counter, extending the round beyond its normal life.
Upgrader
Gives other features a persistent edge, meaning they keep acting on later respins rather than once.
Respin
Described by Relax as taking the base game to new levels; the help screen explains how it is applied in your version.
Many of the returning collector-style characters from earlier games sit alongside these. The common thread is that rare combinations, a big grid plus persistent characters plus a Reset or two, produce the very large results, while most rounds end long before that.
Getting started with Money Train 4
Check the RTP in the help screen. Relax lists a UK game ID ending in _92, so a 92% version may be live.
Read the scatter pay tiers so you know what eight, ten or twelve of a symbol pays.
Open the Arms Dealer menu and note what each feature costs in Bonus symbols.
Pick a stake within UK limits: £5 a spin from age 25, £2 a spin for 18 to 24.
Spin manually; UK slots have no autoplay or turbo and take at least 2.5 seconds a spin.
Use reality checks or a timer, and stop at the limit you set before starting.
Money Train 4 RTP and volatility
The published RTP is 96.1%: a theoretical £3.90 kept for every £100 staked. If your casino runs a 92% version, that rises to £8.00 per £100, more than double. Volatility is high, so actual sessions vary far more than these averages suggest.
Relax calls the 150,000x cap “ultra achievable”, but that is marketing language; the probability isn’t published and should be assumed to be very small. In pounds, the cap is £15,000 on a 10p spin and £750,000 at the £5 UK maximum. Like other win caps, the round ends when it’s reached and the capped amount is paid.
Sweet Bonanza and Gates of Olympus use tumbling wins and multipliers in free spins; Money Train 4 instead routes its value through a respin bonus with collectable features. Its cap is far higher, which goes with swingier results.

A UK _92 version is listed by Relax
High volatility and a 150,000x cap mean very uneven sessions
It suits players who know the series and want something different from the 40-line formula. Newcomers may prefer to start with a simpler game; the series continues with Money Train 5 in Relax’s catalogue.

Frequently asked questions
Does Money Train 4 have paylines?
No. Money Train 4 uses scatter pays, so eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid form a win, wherever they sit. That is a clear break from the first three games, which used 40 fixed paylines on a 5x4 grid. The paytable in the game shows how much each count of each symbol pays at your stake. If the difference between systems is new to you, our guide to paylines vs ways to win explains how each one counts wins.
What does the Arms Dealer do in Money Train 4?
The Arms Dealer gives out features in exchange for Bonus symbols, and Relax says you can trade with him at any time. Bonus symbols therefore act as a collectable currency as well as part of the route into the bonus. The features on offer and their prices are listed in the game’s help screen. Trading is built into the game’s maths, so it doesn’t improve the long-run return. Our slot features guide covers how modern feature systems are designed.
What is the RTP of Money Train 4?
The published RTP is 96.1%, a theoretical £3.90 kept per £100 staked. Relax’s product page also lists a UK game ID ending in _92, which points to a 92% version being available to UK casinos; at that setting the theoretical cost rises to £8.00 per £100. Open the game’s information screen at your casino to see which version is live. Our guide on how to find a slot’s RTP shows where the figure usually sits.
What is the max win on Money Train 4?
The maximum win on Money Train 4 is 150,000x your stake, the highest of the first four games. That equals £15,000 on a 10p spin and £750,000 at the £5 UK limit. It needs an exceptional Money Cart round, with the grid fully unlocked and several persistent characters stacking. The odds aren’t published and are very long, so plan your session without it in mind. Read what happens when a slot hits max win for how capped rounds end.
How do the Unlocker and Reset symbols work?
The Unlocker reveals more rows in the Money Cart bonus, letting the grid grow from its starting six by four towards six by six. The Reset refills the respin counter, so a round that was about to end gets more respins. Both lengthen or widen the round, which gives other characters more to work with. Exact behaviour is listed in the help screen for your version. Our respin glossary entry explains how respin counters work in this kind of bonus.
Is Money Train 4 better than Money Train 3?
It depends on what you want from a session. The fourth game shares Money Train 3’s 96.1% published RTP but swaps 40 lines for scatter pays, adds the Arms Dealer and lifts the cap from 100,000x to 150,000x. Players who liked the earlier, simpler base game may prefer the third title; those who want more going on between bonuses often prefer the fourth. Neither changes the house edge in your favour. Compare them in our Money Train 3 review before choosing.
Can I buy the bonus in Money Train 4?
Not in Great Britain. Feature buys aren’t offered to UK players, so Money Train 4’s bonus only starts through normal play at UKGC-licensed casinos. Trading Bonus symbols with the Arms Dealer is different, because it uses symbols you have won rather than extra money. If you see videos showing paid bonus entry, they come from other markets. Our guide on how bonus buys work explains why the option was removed for UK players.
Can I play Money Train 4 on my phone?
Yes, the game is built to run in mobile browsers and inside casino apps that include it, using the same account and balance as desktop. The larger grid and Arms Dealer menu can feel busy on a small screen, so landscape mode often helps. UK rules still apply on mobile, including the 2.5-second spin minimum and stake limits of £5, or £2 if you are 18 to 24. Our guide to mobile slots covers data, battery and settings.
