Karamba slots are no longer listed as available under an active UK licence: in October 2026 the Gambling Commission register showed karamba.com and karamba.co.uk as inactive domains on both licences they had appeared under. This page explains what that status means, the brand’s licence history, and what to do if you still had money or questions with Karamba.
In October 2026, Karamba’s domains were inactive on both White Hat Gaming (52894) and AG Communications (39483) licences.
A casino directory reports that Karamba closed in June 2026; we couldn’t confirm the reason.
If you held a balance, contact the operator in writing and keep records; a UK operator must have a complaints process.
Don’t deposit at any site using the Karamba name unless its domain is listed as active on the register.

Are Karamba slots still available in the UK?
Not as an actively licensed site. A domain must be listed against a current licence for the operator to offer gambling to people in Great Britain, and when we checked the Gambling Commission’s public register in October 2026, both Karamba web addresses were marked inactive.

What an ‘inactive’ domain on the register means
Every UK licence holder must tell the Commission which websites it uses. The register then shows each domain as active, white label or inactive. An inactive entry usually means the licensee has stopped using that address for British customers: the brand may have closed, been withdrawn from the UK or moved to a different licence.
Two points follow. First, the licensee itself can still be fully licensed while one of its brands is not; both companies above held active licences in October 2026. Second, a site that still loads at an inactive address, or a look-alike using the name, should not be treated as a licensed UK casino. Our guide to spotting unlicensed slot sites explains the risks of playing at one.
Karamba’s licence history
Third-party sources date Karamba to 2005 and describe it as powered by Aspire Global. On the UK register, the brand appeared under AG Communications Limited, account 39483, the licensing company associated with that platform, whose remote casino licence has been active since 1 November 2014. In October 2026 every one of the 76 domains listed on that account was inactive.
Karamba was later listed on the licence of White Hat Gaming Limited, account 52894, alongside brands such as Hopa, Mr Ben and Reel Island, which were also inactive by October 2026. White Hat Gaming’s own active and white-label brands, including Dream Vegas, continued; see our Dream Vegas profile for that licence.
AG Communications agreed a settlement of £1,407,834 with the Commission on 4 February 2025, after a review found anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing and social responsibility failings between about May 2023 and October 2024. That action applied to the licensee as a whole, not to any one brand.
If you had a Karamba account or balance
If you still had funds, a pending withdrawal or an open query when the site stopped serving UK players, act in writing and keep a record of everything:
Gather your username, the email address on the account, and any screenshots of your balance or transactions.
Check your bank or e-wallet statements for deposit and withdrawal records.
Email the brand’s last published support address, or the licensee, asking for your balance and a withdrawal; name White Hat Gaming Limited, account 52894, as the most recent UK licensee.
Ask for your complaint to be logged formally and request a reference number.
If there is no resolution after eight weeks, ask which alternative dispute resolution provider the licensee uses and refer your complaint there.
Tell the Gambling Commission about the issue; it can’t resolve individual disputes, but reports help it supervise operators.
UK operators must tell customers how well their funds are protected if the business fails, rated as not protected, medium or high protection. That rating will have appeared in the terms when you signed up. The dispute process is covered in more detail in our guide on how to complain to a slot site.
Watch out for sites using the Karamba name
When a familiar brand disappears, look-alike sites and ‘sister site’ lists often keep using its name. Before depositing anywhere that calls itself Karamba or claims to be its replacement, check the exact web address against the register’s domain list. If the domain isn’t listed as active or white label under a current licence, don’t deposit. Our guide to checking a slot site’s licence shows where to look.
Unlicensed sites don’t have to offer GAMSTOP, UK stake limits or a UK complaints route, and they may accept credit cards, which licensed UK sites cannot.
What carries over if you move to another slot site
Nothing from a Karamba account moves automatically: balances, limits and loyalty points belonged to that brand. A few protections, though, follow you everywhere in the UK:
A GAMSTOP self-exclusion blocks every UK-licensed online gambling site, so an exclusion you set still applies.
UK stake caps of £5 a spin (25 and over) and £2 (18 to 24) apply at every licensed slot site.
Every UK slot must run spins of at least 2.5 seconds with no autoplay, and bonus buy features aren’t offered in Great Britain.
Bonus wagering at any UK site is capped at 10x from 19 January 2026.
Set fresh deposit limits on any new account before your first deposit; our guide to setting deposit limits explains how.
Choosing a licensed alternative to Karamba slots
If you played Karamba for a particular style of game, it helps to judge any new site on facts you can check rather than on marketing. Look for a domain listed as active on the register, published payment and withdrawal terms, and slots whose help screens show the RTP. A game’s maths comes from its developer, so a title such as Book of Dead works the same way at any licensed site, though the RTP version can vary. Our guide to choosing a slot site lists what to compare.
Support if gambling is causing problems
A brand closing can be a natural point to take stock. If you’d rather not open a new account, GAMSTOP blocks all UK-licensed online gambling sites for six months, one year or five years. The National Gambling Helpline offers confidential advice on 0808 8020 133, 24 hours a day, and GamCare and NHS gambling clinics provide longer-term support. See our gambling support guide.

Frequently asked questions
Is Karamba closed?
Karamba no longer appears as an active UK-licensed site. In October 2026 the Gambling Commission register listed karamba.com and karamba.co.uk as inactive under White Hat Gaming Limited, and karamba.com as inactive under AG Communications Limited. The casino directory LCB reports that Karamba closed in June 2026. We found no official statement explaining why. Any site still using the name should be checked against the register before you deposit; our guide to spotting unlicensed slot sites explains what to look for.
Who owned Karamba?
Third-party sources describe Karamba as a 2005 brand powered by Aspire Global. On the UK register it appeared under AG Communications Limited, account 39483, and later under White Hat Gaming Limited, account 52894, both Malta-based licensees. By October 2026 its domains were inactive on both. We couldn’t verify who owned the brand name at the point it closed, so we don’t name a final owner. White Hat Gaming’s other brands, such as Dream Vegas, remain listed; see our Dream Vegas profile.
How do I get my money back from Karamba?
Write to the brand’s last published support address and to the licensee, giving your username, email and balance, and ask for a withdrawal and a complaint reference. White Hat Gaming Limited, account 52894, was the most recent UK licensee listed. If the issue isn’t resolved within eight weeks, refer it to the alternative dispute resolution provider named in the operator’s terms. Keep copies of every message and statement. Each stage is set out in our guide on how to complain to a slot site.
What are Karamba’s sister sites?
On White Hat Gaming’s licence, Karamba sat alongside brands such as Dream Vegas, Casimba, Casilando, PlayGrand and Playzee, which were still listed in October 2026, and names like Hopa, Mr Ben and Reel Island, which were inactive. On AG Communications’ licence, all 76 listed domains were inactive. Sister sites share a licensee but not accounts, so a Karamba balance doesn’t transfer. Our A–Z of slot site brands profiles currently licensed alternatives.
Is it safe to play at a site still called Karamba?
Only if its exact web address is listed as an active or white-label domain on a current UK licence. In October 2026 neither karamba.com nor karamba.co.uk was. A site operating without a UK licence doesn’t have to follow UK stake limits, take part in GAMSTOP, verify your age properly or offer a UK complaints route, and your funds may be at risk. Search the address on the register before entering any payment details, as shown in our licence check guide.
Was Karamba fined by the Gambling Commission?
We found no action against the Karamba brand by name. AG Communications Limited, the licensee it was listed under, agreed a £1,407,834 settlement on 4 February 2025 after the Commission found anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing and social responsibility failings between about May 2023 and October 2024. That action covered the licensee’s whole operation. White Hat Gaming Limited had no regulatory actions recorded in October 2026. Our UKGC glossary entry explains how the Commission enforces its rules.
Does my GAMSTOP exclusion still apply after Karamba closed?
Yes. GAMSTOP isn’t tied to any one brand: it blocks you from every online gambling site licensed in Great Britain for the period you chose, whether that is six months, one year or five years. A brand closing doesn’t end or shorten it, and exclusions can’t be lifted early. If you excluded only through Karamba itself, that brand-level block no longer matters, so consider GAMSTOP if you want lasting protection. The scheme is explained in our guide on how to self-exclude.
Can I still play the same slots I played at Karamba?
Most slots come from independent studios and are offered at many UK-licensed casinos, so popular titles are usually available elsewhere. The game’s reels and features stay the same, but the casino chooses which RTP version to run, so check the help screen at the new site. For example, Book of Dead’s published default is 96.21%, and lower versions exist. To see where the figure appears in a game, read how to find a slot’s RTP.
Gambling can be addictive. Free, confidential help is available 24 hours a day from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133. Get support from GamCare or NHS gambling support, or block yourself from all UK-licensed gambling sites with GAMSTOP.
