Dynamite Riches slot: a game that unlocks as you play
Most slots give you every feature from the first spin. Dynamite Riches holds four of them back. A fuse runs along the top of the game, and every Dynamite Wild that lands burns it a little further. When the fuse reaches each marker, a new feature unlocks, fires on the next spin, and then joins a pool of features that can trigger at random from then on.
That progression is the reason to play it, and the reason it feels different at the start of a session from the middle. Early on you are playing a fairly plain 20-line slot. Once all four features are live, spins can combine several modifiers at once. Red Tiger used a similar idea of collecting towards unlocks in Pirates' Plenty, though the details are quite different.
The setting: a gold-rush mine with a lit fuse
The artwork takes you underground into an old gold mine, with dynamite as the running motif. The fuse line above the reels is the main piece of interface to watch: its markers show how far you are from the next feature, and a glance tells you which stage you have reached. The paytable splits symbols into low and high payers, a split that matters because the first unlockable feature removes the low ones entirely.
Mining is a well-used setting; our gold slots page collects other games built around nuggets, mine carts and treasure.
Dynamite Riches layout: 5x4 reels and 20 paylines
The game uses a 5-reel, 4-row grid with 20 fixed paylines, paying left to right. Twenty lines on twenty positions is a relatively lean line count for a 5x4 grid, which helps explain why the base game alone can feel sparse. Red Tiger's page lists a hit frequency of about 29.5%, so a little under one spin in three returns something, many of those below the stake.
The wild symbol that matters most is the Dynamite Wild. It substitutes like a normal wild and also advances the fuse by one step. It can land on any reel.
The fuse: how Dynamite Wilds unlock four features
Red Tiger's rules set out four stages. Each needs more Dynamite Wilds than the last, and the total to unlock everything is 30.

Mega Wilds
Two design details are easy to miss. First, each Dynamite Wild that lands is removed from the reel strips, so the next one becomes slightly less likely; the stages get harder to clear as you go. Second, once the fourth feature unlocks, Dynamite Wilds stop landing altogether. The fuse is finite, and after it burns out the game plays with all four features in its random pool.
Whether fuse progress is saved if you close the game can vary by casino platform. Check the help screen in your version before assuming progress carries over.
What each Dynamite Riches feature does
Remove Low-Paying Symbols
When it triggers, every low-paying symbol is taken off the reels for that spin, so only high-paying symbols can land. That doesn't mean a win is certain, but any win that forms uses the better part of the paytable.
Random Wilds
A random number of extra wilds is dropped onto the reels. More wilds mean more lines connect, and they work alongside the other features if several trigger together.
Multiplier
Adds a win multiplier to the next win. If it is active when Gold Spins start, it applies to the first win in the bonus; if it is active when free spins end, it carries into the next base-game win.
Mega Wilds
Places one or more oversized wilds, from 2x2 up to 3x3, on the reels. A 3x3 wild covers nine positions at once and can complete many of the 20 lines in one go.
Gold Spins: the Dynamite Riches free spins round
Gold Spins symbols can land on any reel. Three or more in the base game trigger the free spins feature, and more symbols mean more spins. Landing them again during the bonus adds spins, which is how the round retriggers.

How a Dynamite Riches session typically unfolds
Check the RTP and fuse rules in the help screen, and set a budget and stop time before spinning.
Early spins: the base game is fairly plain while Dynamite Wilds start burning the fuse.
Around six wilds, Remove Low-Paying Symbols unlocks and fires on the next spin, then joins the random pool.
Random Wilds, then the Multiplier, unlock at 13 and 21 wilds, so more spins can carry a modifier.
At 30 wilds Mega Wilds unlock, Dynamite Wilds stop landing and all four features can trigger, alone or together.
Gold Spins can arrive at any stage; three or more symbols award 8 or more free spins.
Because the later stages need more wilds and each wild becomes rarer, reaching stage four can take a long session. Don't extend play just to unlock it; the features don't change the RTP, which already includes them.
Dynamite Riches RTP and what it costs per session
The standard RTP is 94.76%, a house edge of 5.24%. Other versions exist, and Red Tiger's own page lists a higher build, so check the help screen at your casino; that number is the one that applies to you.
Worked example: 50 spins at £1 is £50 staked, and the long-run average cost at 94.76% is about £2.62. At 20p, 250 spins is the same £50 and the same average cost, but the swings are much smaller in pounds. The total amount staked, not the number of spins, drives the expected cost.

High volatility and the quieter opening stretch
Dynamite Riches is high volatility. Part of that comes from the bonus, as usual, and part from the fuse: the features that create the biggest base-game spins are not available until they unlock. At small stakes, a longer session gives the fuse time to burn; at high stakes the same budget may run out first. That is one reason this game tends to suit lower stakes and patient play.
Dynamite Riches max win: 5,341x in pounds
The top payout is 5,341x the stake. That is £26,705 at the £5 limit for players aged 25 and over, £10,682 at the £2 limit for 18 to 24-year-olds, and £1,068.20 at 20p. It would need several features stacking on high-paying symbols, most plausibly during Gold Spins with the multiplier active. Very few players will ever see it. Read what a slot's max win means for how to treat figures like this.
Dynamite Riches under UK rules, demo play and the Megaways version
In Great Britain you can't buy Gold Spins; the bonus buy option shown on some international versions isn't offered. Spins take at least 2.5 seconds, autoplay and turbo are switched off, and stakes are capped at £5, or £2 if you are 18 to 24. Demo mode is available only after age verification.
Red Tiger later released Dynamite Riches Megaways, which moves the mine theme onto the Megaways engine. It is a separate game with its own maths, so don't assume the original's RTP or max win apply to it.
Dynamite Riches compared with other mining and unlock slots
Pirates' Plenty is the closest relative, with its own collect-to-unlock system. Bonanza Megaways and Diamond Mine Megaways share the mining theme with higher RTPs and a cascading engine. TNT Tumble uses a cluster grid that grows as it explodes.
Dynamite Riches pros and cons, and who it suits
Advantages
A clear progression system with published stage targets.
Four features that can stack once unlocked.
Gold Spins rules are simple and generous on retriggers.
Works well at low stakes over a longer session.
Drawbacks
94.76% standard RTP is below average.
The base game is plain until the fuse has burned for a while.
Progress may not carry over between sessions.
It suits patient low-stake players who like a sense of progress. If you prefer every feature available from spin one, cascading reels slots offer more immediate action.

Frequently asked questions
How does the fuse work in Dynamite Riches?
Every Dynamite Wild that lands moves a fuse along the top of the game by one step. At 6, 13, 21 and 30 wilds it unlocks a new feature: Remove Low-Paying Symbols, Random Wilds, Multiplier and Mega Wilds. Each feature fires on the next spin after unlocking, then triggers at random on later spins. After the fourth unlocks, Dynamite Wilds stop landing. Our guide on how slot features trigger explains random triggers in more detail.
What is the RTP of Dynamite Riches?
The standard RTP of Dynamite Riches is 94.76%, a house edge of 5.24%, and other versions exist. Red Tiger's own game page lists a higher figure, which shows how much versions can vary. The casino chooses the version, and the game's help screen shows the one you are playing. Over £50 of spins, the 94.76% version costs about £2.62 on average in the long run. See what a good RTP for a slot is for context.
How many free spins do you get in Dynamite Riches?
Three Gold Spins symbols in the base game award 8 free spins, and each extra symbol adds 2 more, so four give 10 and five give 12. During the round, three or more Gold Spins symbols add 4 more spins, plus 1 for each extra symbol. If the Multiplier feature is active when the round starts, it applies to the first win. Our page on how free spins retrigger explains retriggers across different games.
What is the max win on Dynamite Riches?
The maximum win on Dynamite Riches is 5,341 times your stake. That is £26,705 at the £5 stake limit for players aged 25 and over, or £1,068.20 at a 20p stake. Reaching it would need several unlocked features stacking on high-paying symbols, probably during Gold Spins. It is a ceiling, not a realistic target. Our explainer on slot max win covers how studios set these caps.
Does Dynamite Riches save your progress?
Red Tiger's rules describe the fuse and its four stages, but whether your progress is stored when you close the game can depend on the casino platform and version. Check the game's help screen before relying on it. Don't keep playing just to reach the next stage: the features are already part of the RTP, so unlocking them doesn't tilt the odds in your favour. Our guide to slot session length has tips on stopping at a planned point.
Is Dynamite Riches high volatility?
Yes. Dynamite Riches is rated high volatility, so returns come in uneven bursts, mainly from Gold Spins and from spins where unlocked features stack. The opening stretch of a session can feel quiet because the strongest base-game features haven't unlocked yet. Choosing a lower stake gives your budget more spins. For more on matching volatility to your budget, see our guide to comparing slot volatility.
Can you buy the bonus in Dynamite Riches?
Not in the UK. Feature buys are not offered to players in Great Britain, so Gold Spins can only be triggered by landing three or more Gold Spins symbols during normal play. Some international versions show a buy option, but UK casinos don't include it. The same applies to every slot on UK sites. Our page on bonus buy slots explains the rule and its background.
Is there a Dynamite Riches Megaways?
Yes. Red Tiger released Dynamite Riches Megaways, a separate game that uses the Megaways engine, where each reel shows a different number of symbols on every spin. It keeps the mining theme but has its own features and maths, so its RTP, volatility and max win differ from the 2019 original. Always check the help screen of the version you load. Our Megaways guide explains the engine.
