BetVictor slots are run by BV Gaming Limited, a Gibraltar company holding UKGC account 39576 and owned by Michael Tabor since May 2014. The same licence also carries British sites for Betano, Parimatch, talkSPORT BET, Heart Bingo and Smooth Spins. The register lists seven active trading names on the licence, including Betano, Parimatch, talkSPORT BET and Heart Bingo.
BetVictor traces its roots to the Chandler family’s bookmaking business of 1946 and has been in Gibraltar since 1998.
The group renamed itself BVGroup in 2023; Michael Tabor has owned it since May 2014.

The gambling software licence is the unusual one. It allows a company to make, supply or adapt gambling software for other operators, which fits a business that runs its own technology rather than renting a platform.
From a 1946 family bookmaker to BVGroup
BetVictor’s story starts with the Chandler family, who began bookmaking in 1946. The business moved to Gibraltar in 1998, as many British bookmakers did for their remote operations. Michael Tabor, a former bookmaker and racehorse owner, took ownership in May 2014. In 2023 the group renamed itself BVGroup, keeping BetVictor as its consumer brand while signalling a wider business that runs sites for other companies.
The brands on BetVictor’s licence
The register lists eight trading names for BV Gaming Limited, seven active and one inactive. Several are well-known brands that belong to, or are licensed from, other businesses, with BV Gaming acting as the British licensee and operator.

For a player, the practical meaning is that the company holding your money, checking your identity and handling your complaint on any of these sites is BV Gaming Limited, whatever logo is at the top of the page. Our profiles of Betano slots, Parimatch slots and Heart Bingo slots cover three of them.
What a shared operator means for BetVictor slot players
Terms: each brand publishes its own terms, but they are issued by the same company, so wording on verification, withdrawals and bonus abuse is often similar.
Accounts: separate brands normally mean separate registrations, even with one licensee.
Exclusions: check whether a brand-level self-exclusion extends to the others. GAMSTOP covers them all, along with every other British online operator.
Complaints: they go to BV Gaming Limited first, then to the alternative dispute resolution service named in the terms.
Working out what a BetVictor spins offer is worth
We don’t describe current offers at sites we don’t partner with, but the maths for valuing any free spins offer is the same everywhere. Multiply the number of spins by the spin value to get the total stake, then by the game’s RTP to get the expected return.

If winnings come with wagering, subtract the expected cost of that play too. A 10x requirement on £4.80 means £48 of extra stakes, costing about £1.92 at 96%. No-wagering spins avoid that step. Our guide on working out free spins value covers caps, expiry and game restrictions.
Checking slots in the BetVictor casino
We haven’t verified BetVictor’s current slot studios, game count or jackpot networks. When you open any game, look at the help screen for the RTP and maximum win, and note whether the jackpot is fixed or progressive. A slot’s RTP can differ between sites because studios release several versions; our RTP versions guide explains how to tell which you are on.
BV Gaming Limited’s register entry
When we checked, the regulatory actions tab for account 39576 showed a count of zero, meaning no actions currently displayed against this licensee. The register is updated over time, so look again before you sign up. Our guide to checking a slot site’s licence explains what each tab shows.
UK slot rules that apply on BetVictor
Every slot on BetVictor and its sister brands runs under the same British rules: £5 a spin maximum for over-25s, £2 for 18 to 24-year-olds, no autoplay, at least 2.5 seconds per spin, no turbo or slam-stop, no bonus buy and no credit card deposits. Since 19 January 2026, any casino bonus is capped at 10x wagering and can’t be tied to a sports bet, which matters on sport-led brands like talkSPORT BET and Betano. Our stake limits explainer covers the age bands.
Safer gambling tools across BV Gaming sites
BV Gaming must offer deposit limits, time-outs, self-exclusion and GAMSTOP participation on each brand, and prompt new customers to set a deposit limit at sign-up, as required since 31 October 2025. If you use more than one of its sites, set limits on each, or ask support whether one setting covers all. Our guide on how to take a break from slots compares time-outs with self-exclusion. Frequently asked questions
Who owns BetVictor?
BetVictor has been owned by Michael Tabor since May 2014. The business traces back to the Chandler family’s bookmaking firm, founded in 1946, and has been based in Gibraltar since 1998. In 2023 the group renamed itself BVGroup. Its British licence is held by BV Gaming Limited under UKGC account 39576, which also runs sites for Betano, Parimatch, talkSPORT BET, Heart Bingo and Smooth Spins. You can trace any brand to its licensee using our guide to the UKGC register.
Is BetVictor licensed in the UK?
Yes. BV Gaming Limited holds an active UK Gambling Commission remote licence covering casino, real and virtual-event betting since 1 November 2014, gambling software since March 2015 and bingo since March 2021. BetVictor is among the active trading names on that account. Holding the licence means British rules apply to the site, from stake limits and game design to identity checks and safer gambling tools. Our UKGC glossary entry explains what the regulator oversees.
Are Betano and BetVictor the same company in the UK?
In Britain, yes, in the sense that both brands appear as trading names on BV Gaming Limited’s licence, so the same company is the licensee and operator for each. Betano is an international brand in its own right, and arrangements like this let a brand enter the British market through an existing licence holder. You would normally still need a separate account for each site. Our Betano slots profile looks at that brand separately.
Why does BetVictor hold a gambling software licence?
A remote gambling software licence is needed by any business that makes, supplies, installs or adapts gambling software used by British operators. BV Gaming Limited has held one since 24 March 2015, which suggests it develops or adapts technology rather than relying entirely on a rented platform. That doesn’t mean BetVictor builds its own slots; most slots on any site come from specialist studios. Our page on how online slots are made explains the roles of studios, platforms and operators.
Has BetVictor been fined by the Gambling Commission?
When we checked, BV Gaming Limited’s register entry showed no regulatory actions on its actions tab. The register is the authoritative record, and it changes as new cases are published, so check it yourself before signing up. Each published action comes with a public statement explaining the findings. We don’t score non-partner sites; we report what the register shows. Our checklist on how to choose a slot site includes the register as one of several checks.
Is a free spins offer at BetVictor worth it?
That depends on the spin value, number of spins, the game’s RTP and any wagering. Fifty spins at 10p on a 96% RTP slot have an expected return of about £4.80; a 10x wagering requirement on those winnings would cost roughly another £1.92 on average. We don’t describe BetVictor’s current offers, so read the terms directly, and remember any offer is for over-18s and comes with conditions. Our guide to free spins terms shows what to look for.
Can I use the same login on BetVictor and Heart Bingo?
Usually not. Although both are trading names of BV Gaming Limited, each brand normally has its own registration, balance and account settings. Whether limits or self-exclusions carry across is set by the operator’s terms, so ask customer support if you use more than one. If you want to block every British-licensed online gambling site at once, register with GAMSTOP; it is free, and the exclusion lasts for six months, one year or five years, with no early end.
What is the maximum stake on BetVictor slots?
The maximum is £5 a spin if you are 25 or over and £2 a spin if you are aged 18 to 24, as on every online slot in Great Britain. The limits came in on 9 April 2025 and 21 May 2025. Individual games may have lower top stakes, and an active bonus can set its own lower maximum. Combined with the 2.5-second minimum spin time, these rules cap how fast money can move. Our page on how much you can bet on slots in the UK covers the detail.
Gambling can be addictive. Free, confidential help is available 24 hours a day from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133. Get support from GamCare or NHS gambling support, or block yourself from all UK-licensed gambling sites with GAMSTOP.
