Slot site payment methods in the UK fall into five groups: debit cards, e-wallets such as PayPal, mobile wallets such as Apple Pay, bank payments such as Pay by Bank, and prepaid options such as paysafecard. Credit cards are banned. The method you pick affects how fast withdrawals arrive and whether you qualify for a welcome offer, so it is worth choosing before your first deposit.
Debit cards work almost everywhere and usually qualify for welcome offers; Coral and Ladbrokes publish Visa Fast Funds payouts typically within hours of approval.
E-wallets are often the fastest for withdrawals but are excluded from the Coral and Ladbrokes welcome offers.
Credit cards cannot be used to gamble in Great Britain, including through an e-wallet or mobile wallet funded by one.
Most UK casinos pay withdrawals back to the method you deposited with, so your first choice shapes your cash-out options.

Slot site payment methods at a glance
Every UK-licensed slot site accepts debit cards, and most add a selection of e-wallets, mobile wallets and bank payments. The differences matter most at two moments: when you claim a welcome offer, because some methods are excluded, and when you withdraw, because speeds vary widely by method.

Debit cards: the default choice
A Visa debit or Mastercard debit card is the simplest way to fund a slot account. You enter the card once, confirm with your bank's security check and the money appears straight away. Debit cards are also the method most likely to qualify for a welcome offer, although Coral's terms do exclude certain debit cards, so read the offer's payment section.
Withdrawal speed depends on the casino's systems. Coral's and Ladbrokes' help centres say Visa Fast Funds withdrawals are typically approved within a couple of hours and then typically reach the bank within about four hours, with payouts above £2,000 taking longer. Casumo lists card withdrawals at up to 2 days, and 10bet's help centre says debit card payouts take up to 2 business days. These are published typical times, not promises.
E-wallets: PayPal, Skrill and Neteller
An e-wallet sits between your bank and the casino, so the casino never sees your card details. PayPal is the best known in the UK, while Skrill and Neteller are long-standing gambling-friendly wallets.
Their big advantage is withdrawal speed at sites that process them quickly. Casumo says PayPal, Skrill, Neteller and MuchBetter withdrawals are paid instantly once approved. The big drawback is welcome offers: Coral and Ladbrokes both exclude PayPal, Skrill and Neteller deposits from their spins offers. At Coral and Ladbrokes, a PayPal withdrawal also needs a PayPal deposit in the previous six months.
An e-wallet funded by a credit card cannot be used for gambling in Great Britain. Link your wallet to a debit card or bank account.
Apple Pay and Google Pay
Apple Pay and Google Pay let you deposit with a fingerprint or face scan using a debit card stored on your phone. They are quick on mobile and keep card details private from the casino.
Both are accepted for deposits at Coral and Ladbrokes, with a published £5 minimum for Google Pay, and their help centres say Google Pay withdrawals are paid to the underlying card. Casumo lists Apple Pay for deposits and for withdrawals paid instantly after approval. As with e-wallets, the wallet must be backed by a debit card, never a credit card.
Pay by Bank, Trustly and bank transfer
Open banking payments, sold as Pay by Bank or through providers such as Trustly, send money straight from your bank account after you approve it in your banking app. No card details are involved.
Pay by Bank deposits are accepted at Coral and Ladbrokes with a published £5 minimum, and both offer Fast Bank Transfer for withdrawals, which their help centres put at 2 to 4 business days once approved. Casumo accepts Trustly and Instant Banking deposits and lists bank withdrawals at up to 5 days. 10bet's help centre gives up to 3 business days for bank transfers. Traditional bank transfer is reliable but usually the slowest way to be paid.
Prepaid vouchers and pay by phone bill
Paysafecard lets you deposit with a voucher code bought in a shop or online, which some players use to keep gambling spending separate. Coral and Ladbrokes take it through a paysafecard account rather than loose vouchers, and withdrawals go to paysafecard only if you have previously deposited with it. Paysafecard deposits are excluded from both sites' welcome offers.
Pay by mobile charges deposits to your phone bill or pay-as-you-go credit. Limits are typically low, you cannot withdraw to your phone, and none of our five partner sites publishes it as an option.

Both Entain sites also cap each deposit at £2,000 and allow up to three active payment methods in a rolling 30 days. Casumo's minimum deposit is £10 for every method. More detail is on each site's withdrawal page, such as Casumo withdrawal time and PlayOJO withdrawal time.
Which payment methods block welcome offers
This is the most common payment mistake slot players make. If you deposit with an excluded method, you will not receive the welcome offer, and you usually cannot claim it afterwards.
Site and offer
Methods excluded by the published terms
Coral: bet £10 on slots, get 100 free spins
Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards
Ladbrokes: play £10 on slots, get up to 500 free spins
Prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers
Decide whether you want the welcome offer; if so, read its payment exclusions first.
Pick a method in your own name and funded by debit, never credit.
Check the cashier for the minimum deposit for that method.
Check how that method is paid out, because withdrawals usually go back to the deposit method.
Compare published withdrawal times for your shortlisted methods.
Check for withdrawal fees, such as Casumo's £3 charge on withdrawals under £10.
Set a deposit limit before your first deposit, whatever method you choose.
UK payment rules and security
Several rules apply at every UK-licensed slot site. Credit cards have been banned since 14 April 2020, including indirectly through e-wallets or mobile wallets funded by a credit card. Payment methods must be in your name. Withdrawals usually return to the method you deposited with. And once you request a withdrawal, it cannot be reversed back into your balance, a rule in place since October 2021.
For security, prefer methods that use strong customer authentication, such as banking app approval or biometrics. Never share card security codes outside the cashier, and only deposit at sites you have checked on the Gambling Commission register, as explained in how to check a slot site's licence. If you are asked to prove a payment method is yours, our guide to slot site verification documents shows what to send.
Slot sites and the payment methods for their offers
Coral asks new players aged 18 or over to deposit with a qualifying method and bet £10 on slots for 100 free spins at 10p each on selected games, with no wagering on winnings. Ladbrokes gives up to 500 free spins, 50 a day for 10 days, after a £10 slots spend, also with no wagering. Casumo offers a 50% bonus up to £100 on a £20+ first deposit, wagered 10x within 7 days. Terms apply.
Coral and Ladbrokes both exclude PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, paysafecard and prepaid cards from their spins offers, so a debit card is the safer choice for the welcome deposit. 18+, terms apply.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best payment method for slot sites?
For most UK players a Visa or Mastercard debit card is the best all-round choice, because it is accepted everywhere and usually qualifies for welcome offers. At Coral and Ladbrokes, Visa Fast Funds withdrawals are typically approved in a couple of hours and then typically arrive within about four hours. If you do not need a welcome offer, an e-wallet can be quicker for withdrawals at sites like Casumo, which pays PayPal and Skrill instantly after approval. Our debit card slot sites page compares cards in more detail.
Can I use a credit card at UK slot sites?
No. Credit cards have been banned for gambling in Great Britain since 14 April 2020. The ban covers indirect use too, so you cannot fund a PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay wallet with a credit card and then deposit at a casino. Every UK-licensed slot site must block credit card deposits. If a site accepts credit cards from UK players, it is not licensed here. Our guide on how to spot unlicensed slot sites lists other red flags.
Why can't I get the welcome offer with PayPal?
Many welcome offers exclude e-wallets such as PayPal, Skrill and Neteller. Coral's and Ladbrokes' spins offers both exclude PayPal deposits, along with Skrill, Neteller, paysafecard and prepaid cards. Operators do not always explain why, but the exclusions are in the published terms. If you deposited with an excluded method, the offer will not credit and usually cannot be added afterwards. Read the payment section of the terms before depositing. Our page on why you can't use your free spins covers other common causes.
Which payment method gives the fastest slot withdrawals?
It depends on the site. Casumo says PayPal, Apple Pay, Skrill, Neteller and MuchBetter withdrawals are paid instantly after approval, with cards up to 2 days. The two Entain brands, Coral and Ladbrokes, publish Visa Fast Funds as typically reaching your bank within about four hours of approval. Bank transfers are usually the slowest, at 2 to 5 business days across our partners. The approval step comes first in every case. Our fast withdrawal slot sites page and tips for faster slot withdrawals go further.
Do slot sites charge fees for deposits or withdrawals?
Many do not. Coral's and Ladbrokes' help centres both state they do not charge withdrawal fees. Casumo charges £3 on withdrawals below £10 and nothing at £10 or more. 10bet does not publish its fee position, so check the cashier. Your own bank or e-wallet provider may charge separately, for example for currency conversion, though this is uncommon for sterling payments. Always check the cashier before confirming. Our guide on how to withdraw slot winnings explains the full process.
Can I withdraw to a different method from the one I deposited with?
Usually not straight away. UK casinos generally follow a closed-loop policy, paying withdrawals back to the method you deposited with, up to the amount deposited, before any other method can be used. Coral and Ladbrokes describe this policy, and they only pay PayPal withdrawals if you deposited with PayPal in the previous six months. If your deposit method cannot accept withdrawals, the casino will offer an alternative such as bank transfer. Our bank transfer slot sites page covers that route.
Is paysafecard accepted at UK slot sites?
Paysafecard is accepted at many UK slot sites, but how it works varies. Coral and Ladbrokes accept it through a paysafecard account rather than loose vouchers, and only pay withdrawals to paysafecard if you have previously deposited with it. Casumo lists paysafecard for deposits. Paysafecard is excluded from both the Coral and Ladbrokes welcome offers, so it is a poor choice if you want those spins. Our paysafecard slot sites page explains the method in detail.
How many payment methods can I use at a slot site?
It depends on the casino. UK customers of Coral and Ladbrokes can have up to three active payment methods in any rolling 30-day period. Other sites may have different limits or none published. Using several methods can complicate withdrawals, because closed-loop rules may require the casino to pay back to each method in turn. Sticking to one or two methods in your own name keeps things simple. Our guide to Ladbrokes minimum deposit covers that site's limits.
Is it safe to use my debit card at a slot site?
Using a debit card at a casino licensed by the Gambling Commission is generally safe. UK card payments use strong customer authentication, so your bank asks you to approve new payments, and licensed operators must protect your data. Alternatives such as Apple Pay, Google Pay or Pay by Bank keep card details away from the casino altogether. Only deposit at sites you have checked on the Commission's register. Our Visa debit slot sites page covers card payments in more detail.
